Friday.

The car was packed, ready to go before the boys were awake.

They hadn't told them about their break.

Jay went into their bedroom, finding Louis curled around Harry. She would miss seeing this every morning when Harry leaves.

"Boys. Time to wake up." She said, gently stroking their backs.

"Mmmm...sleepy." Louis groaned.

"We're going to go somewhere, you need to wake up."

Louis opened his eyes and turned towards her. "Where?"

"You'll see." She smiled.

He sat up and rubbed the sleep from his eyes. "Harry we're going out, you have to wake up." He said, poking Harry's arm.

Harry woke up and rolled over, trying to grab hold of Louis, but he was already out of bed and putting the clothes on that Jay put out for him.

"Up you jump, little one. We're going somewhere special." She picked him up and took him to the bathroom.

They'd been on the road for a while, when Louis jumped in his seat. "BUTLINS! WE GOING TO BUTLINS?!"

Jay and Mark laughed. "Yes we are."

They drove in the gates, found a parking space and got out of the car. They went to reception, where they were given the key to their hotel room.

They collected their bags and went to the ground floor room.

"Wow!" Louis said as they walked in. "Cool."

Jay put Harry on the ground and he followed Louis to discover their bedroom.

"This is lovely." Jay said, flopping down on a chair.

"Yes. Look at the view." He looked out of the patio windows. They had a great Seaview, golden sands and holiday makers making the most of the beautiful weather.

"Mummy! There's a TV in our room." Louis said happily, walking back in holding Harry's hand.

"Is there? Oh that's nice. You know what else is here?"

"No."

"There's a fairground. Want to go?"

Both boys had a nap in the car, so were keen to go and explore.

"Yes please." Louis replied, jumping up and down.

*****

They went on the carousel first. Harry loved the horses, but he's too little to go on one of those. So they all sat in a booth, laughing as they went round and round.

Louis then went on a horse with Mark, while Jay took Harry to change his pull up.

Next, Louis took Harry on the aeroplane ride. It didn't go fast or high, as it was for younger children, but Harry giggled and waved every time they went past the adults. They took lots of photos and videos, not wanting to forget the holiday.

Then they went to the amusement arcade. Mark holding Harry up to the slot machines, him giggling as his 2 pence coins fell down, and clapping whenever money came out of the bottom.

They played games to win prize tickets, which they would collect then spend before they went home.

The day went quick, and it was soon bedtime.

The boys were both so exhausted, they fell asleep within minutes of getting into their beds.

*****

Saturday.

Jay went into the boys bedroom, finding Louis in his usual position, curled up against Harry.

Louis must have sensed her standing there as he woke up.

"Mummy, I don't want Harry to go away." He said quietly.

Jay's smile fell from her lips. "I know love.  But Robin's his Daddy, so he should be with him."

Louis sighed and went back to cuddling Harry.

*****

They spent the morning at the beach, building sandcastles and paddling in the sea, it being a bit too cold to go right in.

The boys were sat on a blanket on the sand, playing with Louis' playmobil toys he bought with them.

One of their sandcastles was beside them. They built it up and put flags in the top. Harry set one of Louis' people at the top.

"Why's he up there Harry?" Louis asked.

He looked again and saw the figure was wearing a crown. "Oh he's the king."

Harry nodded.

"He's the king of the castle." Mark said, taking photos of the masterpiece.

*****

They had sandwiches for lunch bought in one of the on site mini markets.

Then an hour later, they were in the pool.

Mark took Louis down the water slides. Jay took Harry in the toddler pool. There were a few other kids there with their parents. Harry splashed around, happily.

All was fine until one boy emptied his bucket of water over Harry's head, making him cough and splutter. Jay took him out, the boys mother apologising behind them.

Harry cried as Jay got her towel and dried his face, his eyes all red and watery.

"What happened?" Mark asked as they returned.

"Some boy threw water over him." Jay replied, as Harry sniffled in her arms.

Louis frowned. "That boy is horrible." He said as he hugged Harry from behind. Harry turned around and Louis wrapped his arms around him.

"It's ok Harry. Don't be sad. I'll look after you." Louis said softly.

Jay had to look away, she couldn't cry here in front of so many people.

They stayed at the pool for a while, before heading out.

Harry had a nap, while they looked around the gift shops.

Louis chose some cuddly toys for Harry to take when he leaves them. Louis was given some toys of his own too. They bought some snacks for later and a few bottles of water.

*****

After dinner, in one of the restaurants, they were back in the hotel. Jay bathed the two tired boys, before putting them in bed.

They were both asleep before Jay had read one page of a book Louis got in the gift shop.

*****

Hi again.

I hope this was OK. I wanted to tell what happened on their holiday.

Thoughts on the chapter?

All the love. L. Xx
