"Glacy, you don't HAVE to go and pull through with the plan with them," the white truck-turned race car with maroon hair with a yellow streak spoke as he wrapped a bandage around the other's tire. "I mean, LOOK. Your sister left you to burn out there,"

"I… I need to, Ricky," Glacier hissed as he winced at the pain. "I… I'm still part of the family. I… I need to help them,"

"Fine," Speedrick groaned. "but ya know where to find me when things go too far, right?"

"Right," Glacier nodded and kissed his cheek before turning. "I… I gotta go,"

"Be careful," Was all Speedrick could say before watched the other take his leave.

"Pickle, Grammy is traveling around the world, so why are you still trying to get me to join the festival?" Crusher grumbled.

"Because my family's coming, and you're family to us!" Pickle insisted. "Come on, Crush, please!"

"Its hosted and sponsored by Mother and Father," Crusher shook his head. "I'll never get past them,"

"Ignore them, and stick with me," Pickle told him. "Stick with me and all our friends!"

"Your friends," Crusher corrected.

"OUR friends," Pickle waved away the correction. "Come on, Crusher, please!"

"Ugh… fine," Crusher sighed. "but if we encounter my parents-"

"We'll turn away, promise," Pickle said with a smile. "And we won't bump into them, don't worry,"

"Can we also NOT bump into Blaze's Family?" Crusher groaned.

"Are the visions still coming to you?"

"Yeah…" Crusher nodded. "And it turns out I know Spanish,"

"You do? I thought you only knew Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Korean, Hindi, Taiwanese…"

"Yeah, yeah, I thought I knew all but Spanish, but apparently I knew that too, but… not right now," Crusher sighed. "I… maybe it's just amnesia, or… I don't know. I just… I'm not comfortable with being around them,"

"Okay, okay, I get it, but with everyone else, then?" Pickle gave a smile.

"Yeah, yeah…" Crusher nodded.

"Yay! Let's go, then!"

"Wa-hoo!" Blaze and AJ cheered as they raced through the streets with the rest of their family.

It was finally the Family Day Festival! That one day they were all excited about.

Not that they needed any excuse to hang out as a family, but it was that one day that they could hang out with all the different families in the city as well.

"And here we are!" Blaze announced as they made it to the festival grounds.

"I can't wait to enjoy the carnival!" Sparkle cheered.

"I can't wait for either!" Phoenix beamed. "Just me, my husband and all my kids!" She suddenly stiffened with what she spoke before sighing. "Well, almost all…"

Blaze felt his mother's change of emotion and hugged her. "I… I know what you mean, Mom. I… I missed her… er, him too…"

"Are you talking about…?" Sparkle asked with a whimper.

"Yes." Flame sighed. "Why… Why does it hurt so much every time we think about it…?"

"There, there, Dad…" AJ patted his back. "It's okay…"

"Hey, guys!"

The family turned to see Pickle drive in, beaming. Blaze smiled.

"Oh, hey, Pickle! You here with your family?"

"Yep!" Pickle nodded. "They're helping on finishing up the set up on this festival! Oh, and Crusher's here too!" He reached back and pulled on a dark blue truck. "Say hi, Crush!"

"Hi, or whatever…" Crusher grumbled as he begrudgingly waved.

"Hey there, Crusher!" Blaze greeted. "Is your family coming to the festival too?"

"I wish not," Crusher hissed.

"Um, Crusher doesn't have… a good family history," Pickle whispered to them. "So, uh, better not bring that up,"

"Eh, they'll soon see why," Crusher huffed. "They're famous for being horrible people, anyway,"

"Who are they, anyway?" Sparkle asked.

Crusher was just about to speak when he saw a familiar someone drive into the festival. He hissed.

"Glacier."

"Hello, lightning brat." Glacier snickered and drove over. "Looks like you and the cucumber over here are at the festival,"

"I AM NOT A CUCUMBER!" Pickle roared out.

"Pickle, calm," Crusher held him back and glared at the icy blue truck. "Glacier, back off. I'm not in the mood for you today,"

"Oh, but it's the FAMILY festival, isn't it?" Glacier sneered. "And as your older brother-"

"You are BARELY my brother, you… you ass." Crusher gritted his teeth.

"Oh, that's right, you're so pathetic that you're just a lonely orphan!" Glacier cackled.

The Blaze Family looked stunned by the comeback of the icy blue truck. Crusher merely rolled his eyes, already used to it as he crossed his tires. He then noticed the bandage around Glacier's tire, and his eyebrows furrowed.

"What… happened to your tire?"

Gkacier seemed to be taken back by the question as he hissed and kept his bandage close to him.

"None of your business, you orphaned BOOKNERD!"

With that, he turned and left. Crusher sighed.

"Of course that would be his response…"
