The locations in this Story resemble the geography of East Asia. It may in aspects resemble ancient cultures of those lands but this story takes place in a parallel universe. Some things are similar to our world, others are different.
It is meant to reflect our world, but also has its own spirit and I hope it may give us new ideas for how things in our world perhaps once were, are, and could be.
The language I used is English - think of it the text as the best possible translation of what the characters in this book refer to as 'the common tongue'. It is an imperfect attempt to bring all their proverbs and expressions into a form that most readers in this world understand.
