So, maybe it wasn't the best choice to personally ask Dream if he was okay enough to get through the day. Through the entire banquet, George's father was glaring at you both. He even insisted on George going with you to the fitting (which you kindly declined. George had some royal duties to attend to, and you were glad that he was finally taking initiative to do so.)
You made your way to the main entrance where two (2) horses were set up for you and your now sick accomplice. Dream shuffled quietly behind you, presumably a bit embarrassed by what has happened as of now. When you looked back to face him, he was staring dejectedly at the ground. And, if he had done so for just a moment longer, you would have pitied him.
Instead, he looked back upwards at the sky, not even noticing your gaze on him, and messed with his mask. "Hey, Dre," you asked, receiving a hum in response. "You think they're going to let you wear your mask inside?"
He froze, obviously not having considered that. "Well... They better." He muttered, crossing his arms like a child. "I am the head of the guard, I should be allowed to do whatever I want!"
"That causes corruption and tyranny, Dre." You point out, not stopping to even look at him again. You could hear him start mentally planning how that would turn out.
After getting the bag on the horse, you calmly climbed on to start heading towards the royal clothing shop that was around ten (10) minutes away. Letting the horse start on a light gallop, you looked back to see Dream standing there, trying to figure out how it would end to tyranny.
"Let's have a little fun shall we?" You mutter to yourself, nearly to the horse, even though you knew you wouldn't get a response back.
Since you knew a basic layout of the villages connected to the castle - and how Dream would try to find you - you started allowing the horse to pick up speed. Making a left turn towards the clothing shop you found yourself stopping right in front of it. You tied the horse up, then started running past it and around the corner, now you simply had some time to yourself. You saw a small shop that held many fine colored glass creations in the window right across the street.
You opened the door to be greeted by shelves of many colourful vases. You figured it would be fine to look around, since you planned to arrive half an hour early. Looking through the shelves of delicate work, you found yourself looking at a small plate that had a small snowy house painted on it. It reminded you of your home, how beautiful it was before the war. How you could build statues out of snow in the gardens, and have snowball fights with Fundy.
Noting the memory for later, you headed outside into the streets where Dream had passed by on a galloping horse moments before. Walking back towards the clothing shop, and entering through the door, you found yourself greeted by a woman with dark brown hair and light blue eyes. She was around your height.
"Hello, Sovereign Y/N. Your guard came by a few minutes ago, looking for you, should I tell him?" She asked, pointing at the outside window.
"Just call me Y/N, and no. It's just a fun trick I decided to play on him from faking that he's not sick." You say as you approach her.
"Alrighty then, let us start fitting, and call me Theodore by the way." Theodore said, and you started fitting the large wedding dress that lay before you both.
After you were at least in the royal clothing, Theodore was making small adjustments while writing down what would need adjusting. Dream came inside the front door.
"Ah, about time you made it, Dream!" You scream from the room. You knew so well that you were going to keep this against him, and tell Sapnap. He came sprinting through the halls like Tommy would, looking like he ran halfway across the world and back. When he found the room you were in, he sighed and then left.
"Never again Y/N, never again." Dream said as he started grabbing a chair to sit in. He started adjusting his mask and running his hands through his hair. You and Theodore started laughing, since he was simply done with it.
"You have to admit Dream, you deserved it." Theodore said as she took some last measurements. "You did nearly think about becoming a tyrant."
"I didn't-" He paused mid-sentence, "where did you even go?"
You flashed him a grin, shuffling away from Theodore. "I went here, of course! Where else could I have gone?" You asked, taking a deep breath as Theodore shuffled into the back room.
"I dunno," he stated, skeptically leaning back into his chair. "That's why I asked you. You obviously weren't here earlier." His head turned away from you slowly, pausing when he spotted your bag. It was thrown across the floor, which was what you had done when you came upstairs.
"I sure hope nothing valuable was in that bag," he mutters, seeming to be taken to a different plane than the one you all were on.
"Just a photograph of Wilbur and his son." You shrugged, covering your arms. Over the small amount of time the both of you had been out, it had gotten much colder. Dream, however, noticed this, and took off the suit jacket he was wearing.
"Here, you look cold." He mumbled, looking straight at you, jacket outstretched in his hand.
