Walking into the kitchen to grab coffee, I stop when I see Peter pacing back and forth with tears in his eyes. He's gripping his phone and madly typing something. He looks so worried and upset. "Hey kid, what's going on?" I inquire, walking over to the teenager.

"Dahlia isn't responding Mr Stark," he cries. "What if she did something last night? I should have stayed awake to text her! It's all my fault! I shouldn't have fallen asleep!"

The moment the words leave his lips I can feel myself shatter. This isn't his fault, it's mine. She obviously wasn't okay and I just left her. I was up the entire night! I could have done something! Instead, I just spent the night screwing around with my stupid suits.

I want to jump off the tower right now. "What's going on?" I hear Pepper ask as she walks into the room. This snaps me out of my daze and I immediately whip out my phone to try and get a hold of her.

"It's Dahlia! She isn't responding. She might have..." Peter breaks off, unable to finish the sentence.

Pepper gives me a concerned frown and looks back at Peter to ask, "who's Dahlia?"

"My texting friend," he mutters, looking back down at his phone. I'm not getting any responses either. When Natasha walks in she immediately asks me what's wrong. She looks frantic as I tell her that Dahlia hasn't responded. She pulls out her phone and quickly fiddles with it to contact the girl.

"Hey kid, you should get going to school," I mumble. Words can't describe how worried I am about his well-being right now. What if she did do it? What if she succeeded? How is Pete going to recover from that? He's already lost so much, I don't know how he will handle one more person.

Looking at his tear-stained face hurts to watch. He grabs his backpack and slings it around his shoulder before stumbling to the elevator.

"Any response?" I question Nat. She shakes her head with a frown and I feel an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach.
