AU: Wilbur and Niki aren't streamers, and work regular 9-5 stressful jobs
Wilbur POV
Life has been feeling inexplicably dull. Even driving home from the Chinese restaurant while your favorite songs blasts is boring.
Maybe it's because I'm alone. I live hours away from all my family, and since I moved to Germany working a 60 hour a week job, it's been hard to keep in touch with friends or even make new ones. For God's sake, I went to a Chinese restaurant alone. Alone!! I needed a break.
On the way home to my boring apartment, I noticed a park. Just a little playground and sitting area. I've always wanted to go to a park at night, so I pulled into the small parking lot and headed for the bench.
It was extremely odd. All the nose seemed to cancel out, and there was an ominous glow coming from a nearby house, illuminating the the playground in an extraterrestrial manner; as if reality had been slightly altered.
I just sat there for who knows how long. Taking in the beauty and mystery of the sussy park at like 9 pm. (IM SORRY I AHD TO PUT SUSSY IN THERE)
My peaceful trance was then interrupted suddenly, by a woman with beautiful blonde hair down to her shoulders.
Noticing I was there, the woman's eyes widened and she blushed profusely.
"I'm so sorry, I usually come here on Friday nights, but I'll leave-"
"No!"
I had no idea what had happened but I had gotten up from the bench and grabbed the woman's hand to prevent her from leaving. Really, Wilbur? This is how desperate you are?
"Please stay. I'd like to get to know you."
The woman blushed even harder.
"Well you've only just met me!!"
"Just sit down." I sat back on the bench, bringing the woman with me.
We talked for a while. It turned out her name is Niki and she's just as lonely as I am. We played on the playground after a while, then we got a noise complaint because it was midnight. Then we exchanged number and headed back to our separate apartments.
All in all, I would consider that night to be rather successful. I made a new friend. And maybe ... a girlfriend??
