His eyes darkened and flashed gold before he bent over to whisper in my ear, "Strip. Now Miss Kenner."

My eyes fly open, I'm covered in sweat and my breath is labored. I sit up and look around my dorm. No one else is awake yet. I wave my wand and it reads 7:50 am. I figure it would be easier to get ready with no one else awake, so I roll out of bed and head for the showers.

After getting dressed, I headed back to my dorm which is now bustling with noise. Katie is rushing around and pulling everyone else with her. I couldn't help but laugh looking at the sight. I went over and sat on my bed, while the others got themselves ready. My mind drifted to my dream. My hot, god-forsaken dream. What the hell was that about. I mean yeah he's hot, but really Soph, a professor. I was pulled from my thoughts by Katie, who was now fully dressed and halfway out of the dorm.

It was a quiet walk to the Great Hall since Katie knows not to even try to talk to me until I've had at least one cup of coffee in me. Looking out, we spot Ally and Jack at the Ravenclaw table already digging into breakfast. We move our way over and sit down across from each other, me next to Jack and her next to Ally.

"I see you lot wait for no one."

"Hell no, I was working out last night. I'm starving now" Jack retorted.

"Oh really. And just who were you working out," I asked knowingly, which caused a blush to run across his face. We all burst out laughing, causing disruption to everyone else's meals. Including the professors. I glance up and automatically meet Professor Lupin's eyes. Our eyes stay locked till I pull my eyes away from him and put them on Professor Snape, who looks as though he could care less about what is going on around him.

The breakfast bell rings and everyone is up and moving to their first classes. The four of us make our way down to the potions classroom, only to find that Professor Snape hasn't arrived yet. Jack begins to look at the door, almost as if he thinks the lock will open because he wants it to.

"Mr Cannon, so eager to get into class are we," a deep voice draws.

I notice Jack visibly shiver at his words.

"Sorry Professor."

Professor Snape pushes through the group of us and opens the door. We all file in and take a seat in the middle of the classroom. Our usual seat. We sit there talking quietly while others make their way into class. Once everyone is seated, our conversation quickly ends and Professor Snape makes his way to the front of the class.

"As seventh years in this class, you are preparing for your N.E.W.T.s. You will be attempting to learn to brew three potions. Veritaserum, Wolfsbane Potion," Snape's eyes flickered to our table at the mention of that potion "and Rat Tonic. You are required to successfully brew one of these for your exams. So let us hope you all are not as dimwitted as you seem. Today as a warm-up, we are brewing Amortentia. You should remember how to brew it. Work in pairs, and get to work."

We all glanced at each other before moving to collect the proper ingredients. Jack and I paired up and Ally and Katie paired up. It was easier for all of us with these groups, less arguing. Jack and I moved fluently together in brewing our potion. Not long after starting, we were finished and just waited to be looked at. Truly getting a moment to look at Jack, I could see he was distracted. I was soon distracted from talking to him by an amazing scent mix of parchment, chocolate, and musk.
