/As Ritsuko glance at Gendo but he remains silent and so Ritsuko talks a bit more/
Ritsuko: So may I ask how Rei is doing, I understand you visited her today at the hospital.
Gendo: That's irrelevant, getting unit 0 back operational condition is far more important.
Ritsuko: What about your son sir, I can imagen how he might be feeling pretty distraught.
Gendo: Leave him be, that'll give us an excuse to bring unit 1 back to activate duty.

/Then we skip to the next day of the morning as we see Shinji getting dress for his first day of school as Shinji made his way to the kitchen area of the apartment which is still messy then Shinji got a left over bento box to take with him for school and Misato came to the kitchen and see Shinji up and early for school/
Misato: Well look at you, ready for the first day Shinji?
Shinji: Pretty much, hopefully it doesn't get too nosey, I need some down time.
Misato: Right and don't try to show off too much, you can't tell everyone what you see in Nerv.
Shinji: I got it, so does that include Unit 1?
Misato: We'll see but for now keep quiet about it.
/As Shinji nodded in agreement and got his backpack and bento box to go and started to head out for his first day of school but Shinji say something to Misato before leaving/
Shinji: Later.
Misato: Have fun.
/As we skip to see Shinji walking his way to school then Shinji noticing other young teenagers around his age heading to the same school that Shinji himself is heading towards as Shinji while walking think to himself/
Shinji: (I wonder how everyone else back in town are up too, maybe I should call or something, but I'll do that later, for now I guess this is a new start..., hopefully it'll last...)
