To pray for what I thought were angels
Ended up being ambulances

When we reached Switzerland, once again Neymar had planned ahead and there was an SUV there waiting to take us to the ski lodge. It was about a two-hour drive and it would start to get light again by the time we'd reach it.

"I don't want to tell you to get some sleep," Neymar started saying when we got inside the SUV, "but it won't be the worst thing in the world. We have a long and difficult day ahead of us."

I nodded and moved close to him once again. He realized and wrapped his arm around me. The way my body and mind craved his touch to make me feel calm, was something I'd never felt with anyone else. "Thank you so much for taking care of everything to get me there. I know it must have costed so much."

"Don't think about that. At all." He told me. "There is nothing I wouldn't do for you. And your family and friends. I consider them family and friends too, you know that. Not just your brother but the others too."

"I know." I told him. "I can't tell you how much this means to me." I turned and looked up to him. "I..." I started saying. "I feel like I don't need to speak and you understand what I need. No one can do that, not even David."

"But I'm not sure I know what you need now." Neymar said, his eyes traveling from my eyes to my lips.

"You." I said. "I need you." What was the point of denying it? In the midst of this chaos, not knowing if the people I loved were dead or alive, he was my lifeboat. I wasn't going to deny it to myself, not now.

"You have me. Now and always." He said and bent down, kissing my cheek, and the edge of my mouth, lightly for a split second. Then he wrapped his arms around me and I closed my eyes.

A little while later, I felt warm fingers stroke my cheek. "Wake up love." Neymar said gently and I opened my eyes. He had a loving but sad look on his face, almost like he hated that he was waking me up to face a nightmare.

"Are we here?" I asked, the dreadfulness of the situation returning to my mind right away. The first light of the day had emerged from behind the mountains, reflecting off the white untouched snow and creating an otherworldly sight.

As we got out of the car I looked at my phone, there were three calls from Xavi and one from David. None from Sam.

"David called me after you didn't pick up." Neymar said when he saw me check my phone. "They were worried. I told them you had fallen asleep in the car."

"Thanks." I told Neymar and before he could object, I reached for his hand. He squeezed mine tightly as we walked inside the ski lodge.

It was mayhem there. People were sitting on every seat available and on the floor, people were going in and out, police officers and rescue crew were there and even reporters. I looked around for Sam and Alexandra, trying to navigate through the sea of people. "Liv!" I heard and saw both of them sitting by a wall at the far end of the room. They were both all cried out, with bewildered gazes, probably same way I was. I ran towards them, and hugged Sam who started crying again.

"What do you know?" I asked her.

"Nothing! Nothing! No one is telling us anything. Liv I'm losing it!"

"It's been hours." Alexandra said when I hugged her too.

"Neymar." Sam said hugging him. If she was surprised to see him, she didn't show it.

"They haven't extracted anyone yet? It's freezing out there, even if they survive the fall—" I started saying but stopped, not even wanting to think about it.
