"Big bro, can you pass me the syrup?" the youngest of the siblings asked as she was extending her hand out to the direction of her brother, expecting what she has asked."Why don't you do it yourself, Rei? It's not that far away from you." Ares expressed his disappointment for his little sister as he sigh. Looking at the bottle of syrup on the side of his plate, it really wasn't that far from her as she is just in front of him in the table.
Rei protest saying her arms are too short to reach and asked again. She is already in desperate need of that syrup because their mother cooked her favorite breakfast, pancakes, today and pancakes are not complete without syrup!
After hearing her excuses, Ares had no choice but to give in to her request because he knows his sister is a one hard-headed brat and won't stop until she gets what she wants.
"YEY! Big bro, you're the best!" Rei exclaimed with joy and excitement as the bottle of syrup was passed to her. She ate happily as the sweet and sticky taste of the syrup envelope her tongue.
"Eat slowly, we don't want you to choke now, don't we?" Ares reminded her.
As they're eating, the kitchen door opened with their mother coming out and into the dining area, sitting on one of the chairs. Seeing their mother, the siblings greeted and invited her to eat with them.
"Oh, it's okay, I already ate with Damon before you two woke up." their mother rejected the offer but appreciated it nonetheless.
"Speaking of Damon, where is he now, mom?" Ares, the eldest, asked.
"Your brother went to training already while you two were sleeping."
"Why didn't he wait for us? It's too early to go to the dojo around that time anyway." Rei, the youngest, is quite sad that her other older brother isn't together with them.
"Well, Damon said he couldn't wait to go training already so he went early today... and also because you were still sleeping like a pig." their mother joked to comfort her daughter while pinching her nose.
Rei squirmed, "Aw! Mom, stop that" she said, touching her nose and pouting. Their mother giggled, easing the sad atmosphere.
"We should go now, it's already 8:30 am. After you both brush your teeths, we go immediately." Looking at the clock, their mother is right, they only have 30 minutes before the training starts. They should move now. After cleaning the plates, fixing the table and brushing their teeths, the family drove to the training place where Damon was.
25 minutes later at Dalziel Dojo
"Good morning, Mrs. Ahashi!" Mr. Dalziel, the owner, greeted happily as they shooked hands.
"Good morning to you too, Mr. Dalziel. Happy to bring my children here again to your dojo." Mrs. Ahashi, Ares and Rei's mother, greeted in reply.
"My pleasure as always, why don't we go in now? The children are waitin-" Mr. Dalziel is cut off when two kids around the age of 7 and 10 came running off inside the dojo and to the garden where the two adults are talking.
"Catch me, Mon!" said by the 7 year old kid
"Don't underestimate me, Rey!" the 10 year old kid named Mon said, running after the younger kid.
