The family is watching tv in the living room. "Sooo how was your training yesterday?" the siblings' mother enthusiastically asked her children, hoping to know more about their day."It was fun for the most of it. There was just.. a certain someone who kinda ruined it" the youngest uninterestingly said, don't really want to remember the 'incident' and that 'certain someone'.
"Hm.. and why is that?" their mother questioned with noticable concern and confusion in her voice, curious on who this someone is.
Ares, the oldest, plainly replied on behalf of his sister, "She.. kinda got into a fight with a student in the dojo."
Their mother gasped, clearly didn't saw that coming. She hastily went to her daughter and asked her a series of questions with unsettling worry. "Huh? What happened! Did they hurt you? How did you get involved? Why did-"
"Mom, there's no need to worry. I can handle my own. Besides, there was no physical harm done, see?" Rei cut her off fast before she can ask more questions, showing her that she's fine with no injuries whatsoever. She should have saw this coming. Of course her mother would be hysterical if she finds out what happened yesterday.
However, their mother still isn't convinced and has a troubled face and is anxious about what happened to her daughter even though she has explained already.
Rei sighed, glaring at her brother for telling she got into a fight. She should have lied about that 'someone'.
"Mom, trust me, it was nothing too serious. You can even ask Damon." Rei said, looking daggers at her other brother as if to tell him to say something that will not get her into trouble.
Damon, being unprepared, didn't expect her to pass the issue to him as he is kept on stammering his words, "I.. um... sister didn't.. I mean yeah.. it wasn't that serious, mom.. hehe" as he's smiling nervously.
Rei had to stop herself from facepalming for how glaringly obvious Damon was. 'I shouldn't have relied on Damon' she thought
"Don't lie to me, missy. If something happened, just tell me." their mother reminded that whatever happens, she is always there for them.
Ares, who's already tired of the situation, explained what really happened in detail, not minding what his sister might think.
"Rei was annoyed with Mr. Dalziel's nephew because of a stupid reason, she doesn't want him to use her nickname which is coincidentally the same as his." Ares stated, rolling his eyes.
"Is that true, Rei?" the siblings' mother asked, to which the 7 year old child replied, ".. yes, mom" while looking down, not wanting to make eye contact.
"It was just a children's quarrel, mom. Nothing to worry about." Ares
The only adult in the room asked questionly, "Why did you get annoyed at him, Rei? I mean, it's just a name. Nothing too big of an issue."
"He is such a show off, that's why! Hmph!" Rei pouted in annoyance, crossing her arms to her chest.
As much as mother Ahashi wants to believe it's just a small childish fight, her daughter was still rude to the owner's nephew. Sighing, she advise, "What you did was still mean and you should apologize."
Rei couldn't believe what her mother is saying. 'Okay, I might have been kinda rude but still! He was so full of himself. Nobody likes a bragger, right!' she thought to herself, refusing to believe she is at fault.
"Tomorrow, you'll say sorry to him immediately, okay Rei?" their mother said sternly, to which the younger can only hesitantly nod at.
'Finally!' the two brothers thought, mentally sighing in relief that the 'talking' is over at last.
