Chapter IX The plan that may fail

Jonathan saw a red blur on the screen. He zoomed in on the spot where it came from. It was an Astro cannon.

“Wow! I though I was the only one who had one.” 

He steered the ship past the lasers and out of range of the Astro cannon.

After 1 hour Jonathan and Ellery reached Quebec and landed in a meadow between two mountains. Jonathan and Ellery went out side. 

“What are we going to do?”

“I am going to call Space Things inc and see if they have any more Astro cannons.” 

Jonathan took a cell phone out of his pocket and dialed a number.

“Hello! Space Things Inc! Home the Astro cannon!” A man yealed over the sound of laser gun fire. 

“Hi. I need some Astro cannons. Do you have anymore?”

“No! All of our Astro cannons are being used right now!” Just then a teenage girl yelled while crying, “Oh my Gosh, do something daddy!” 

“Look! If you are a preacher and can promise me that my money will go with me to heaven I can give you some!”

“Uh.” 

“Look! I got’a go! Have a nice day!” Then he hung up.

“Ok that plan is out.” 

“What are we going to do?”

“I don’t know.” 

Just then a laser hit the ship sending it up in flames.

“Run!” 

Jonathan and Ellery started running. As he looked back he didn’t see anyone. After about 10 minuets they stopped.

“Let me go!” A female voice said. Jonathan and Ellery creped around the bend and saw a woman, about 30, being lead somewhere by three Orgs. Jonathan’s heart skipped a beat. 

“Ok. Here’s the plan. You go over there on the other side of them and shoot one. I’ll shoot the other two.” 

“Ok.”

Ellery creped over to the other side of the Orgs and tried to shoot. The gun wouldn’t shoot. She mouthed to Jonathan, “It won’t shoot.” 

As Jonathan was wondering what to do next Ellery ran up to an Org and hit him on the head with the gun, it broke in half as the org fell to the ground. Jonathan shot the other Orgs as they turned to see what happened. He then ran to Ellery and shot the Org she hit.

“Thank you!” The woman said 

“Your welcome!” Jonathan and Ellery said in unison. They exchanged glances of puzzlement and then looked back at the woman.

“I am Laura.” 

Jonathan and Ellery introduced them selves and they started looking for a camp site. Jonathan went back to the ship and looked for supplies that hadn’t been burned. He couldn’t find anything so he went back to camp. Ellery and Laura weren’t there so he called them.

“Over here!” Ellery said. 

Jonathan found them in a cave.

“Nice!” He said. “And the most prepared New Yorker has even more surprises! I have watched shows and read books on wilderness survival.” 

About an hour later Jonathan had found two rabbits, and cooked them.

“Wow! This is good!” Ellery said.
