It was easy to spot Louis and Harry as soon as I got to the club. When Harry spotted me that was when the two girls he and Louis were with left. In much a rush they ran to the bathroom. I also caught one of the girls looking in my direction.
Walking up to Harry he gets off his seat but he isn't looking at me. But behind me, at Janine. Who I had brought. I could tell he's pissed, since the moment he saw us.
"The hell she doing here" Harry says through his teeth. He's tense and his chest is rising in an uncontrollable speed.
"I got bored" I simply reply.
"Got bored? So you decide to fucking bring her!" He spits in my face but I don't move an inch. I'm aware that he's probably going to kill me when he can, but it wasn't my fault Janine decided to tag along.
"Cool down will you. Just pretend like she's not here" I sit on a stool. One empty between Louis and I. I order a drink and watch Harry bow his head and stare at the floor. Janine looks at him, with sorrow eyes. I warned her he was going to be here. But she also didn't care.
"Hey man, how you been?" Louis asks trying to ease the awkward tension surrounding us. I look back over at Harry and he looks up at me. A beer is handed to me and I take a drink.
"I thought you said you were going to bring Jason?" I question Harry. He sighs and takes his seat back again where he was next to Louis.
"He didn't feel like coming" He pouts like a girl and it irritates me.
"Maybe he'll show up too" I take another drink from my beer and scan the crowd. "So where are the girls you were talking about?" They seemed to disappear as soon as I showed up. Like I fucking care, I don't want to be hearing the same old lousy excuses as to why they came here. Sure one of them is their birthday today, but I see no cake or candles.
"They ran to the bathroom, I think one of them got sick" Louis answers knowing Harry won't talk to me anymore. He's a baby, crying over the smallest things.
"Sick of you, of course" I tell him and he laughs. God what is it with him and always fucking laughing at everything. I hate his humor. One of the many reasons why he is so damn annoying.
"Well at least you won't be alone at your apartment tonight. What made you decide to come and join us?" Besides of all the thoughts and memories that were filling up my head, I think it was pretty clear.
"I didn't have plans" I bring the beer to my lips again.
"Isn't that what you said to Harry?" Fuck Louis and his way of thinking. No wonder he and Jason were the only ones who ended up going to college. With a smart mouth, they can make there way through and out of anything.
I roll my eyes and turn to face Janine. She looks upset but hell, she's been upset since she arrived at my apartment. I decide not to bother her. Harry and Louis begin conversing and all I do is keep drinking from my beer. I've had a lot of alcohol in my system since the afternoon. I finished a bottle back at my place now I'm here, drinking up what I don't have. It's not like I have anything better to do. I'm here because my thoughts about Sara were killing me. All I want is for the night to end and for it to be tomorrow already. At Least I'll know that this day last year will be over before I know it. I'm not going to hope anything because I've lost hope in myself a long time ago. I've learned that there is no such thing. No matter how much I hope and wish, in the end, I finish with nothing. Just as I had started.
Twenty minutes fly by quick. That or I'm literally drunk. My vision has become blurry and absence of the two girls Harry had brought are still missing. Maybe they have really left. Did I scare them away? I mentally chuckle to myself.
"Yo, where'd they run off to?" Louis asks Harry.
"I'm not sure but I think I should better go out and look for them" He does as he says and disappears into the crowd. I can still spot his mop of curls from where I sit but when I look away I see the same two girls who had run off when I came, walk into my direction.
"Hey! What took you so long?" Louis asks sounding so pity. I scoff and roll my eyes. This is why I don't stand being around people.
"I had to take care of a problem. Sorry we took so long" One of the girls says looking at her friend. She smiles shyly and looks down at the floor. She looks like a child ashamed of doing something bad and now her mother is ticked off.
"Oh, well Harry just went out looking for you guys" Louis says.
Janine coughs loudly causing Louis to look over at us. As cheesy as it is, its one of those times where Louis has to introduce us to the new girls.
"Janine this is Vanessa, and her friend Maisie" Maisie, begins to scratch her wrist nervously but pulls off a smile. I don't know what's up with this chick but she's acting strange. Is she anti-social or something?
"Hi!" Janine says excitedly in her same old annoying voice. Unexpectedly to Vanessa and Maisie she hugs them both. I had seen it coming.
"Oh hi" Vanessa greets her back and looks over at me. She stands there expecting something from me but I don't do anything. I take a drink from beef and look away. She knows me, I remember now she was the one who had said my name attempting to keep her voice down. Apparently.
"Don't mind him, he's always like that" Louis laughs.
One of these days he's going to feel sorry for himself when I beat his ass. I'll give him something to laugh about.
Just about the right moment, interrupting my murderous thoughts Harry shows up again with a big happy smile splattered on his face. I think I'm going to throw up.
Someone's eyes are on me. It's not Vanessa's because her attention is all over Harry. I know it's her friend Maisie. I don't bother looking to scare her away, but knowing that she's probably judging. She gives me no other choice. And just as I had thought, her eyes interlock with mine. But she doesn't look away.
