I pull up on the curb where I see Liam. Shutting off the engine, I step out and walk around my car.

"Nice driving out there Niall" He says crossing his arms.

"Where were you today? You didn't show up to work" I ask him as soon as I'm standing in front of him.

"Well thanks for asking if I'm doing good" He chuckles. "I called in sick" He smiles proudly and I roll my eyes. Liam always find a different excuse to get off of work. Whether it's his 'grandma dying' or he is dying.

"You've got to show up, or you won't get paid as much as you had expected Rosa to" Liam brushes me off.

"Fuck that old man, he can be a pain in ass" I can't help but agree with him. All day everyday it's he expects me to kiss his balls. "So what are you doing, lets go for a drink" Liam states rather than asks.

"No I'm good, I've got to go anyways. I'm just going to pick up my money" I say.

"What you got something else better to do?" I hate it when everyone asks me that. Like they think I don't have a life of my own. I don't. Just when everyone knows, I'd like to seem that I do. It's only ten at night. I'd like to sleep since I have no work tomorrow.

"Shut up will you, I'll see you Monday if you show up" I get in my car and hear him laugh before I leave. I'll get my money some other day.

Just as I drive away it begins to rain hard. Honestly I enjoy the rain. It's like a way of refreshing the earth, refreshing me.

While the streets are empty and no one is out in this type of weather I am mistaken when I see a figure in the middle of the road in my way. It's Maisie. Surprised to her here, she's looking up at the sky letting the water fall on her body and wet her clothes. I drive up around her and stop until my passengers window faces her. She looks back down at me with wild eyes and I roll my window down.

"What the hell are you doing?" I shout at her so she can hear me.

"I'm just enjoying a little rain, that's all" She shouts back her hair falling in front of her face. Her expression is sad but I don't look into it.

"Get in" I'm also not going to just let her stand in the rain.

"I'm fine really, I should just get out of the way" She walks to the sidewalk and doesn't stop. With her arms crossed and her face down. I groan to myself and pull over. Leaving the engine on I get out of the car and run up to her. Calling her by name.

"I wasn't asking you, I'm telling you" I demand when I've got her attention.

"I don't need a ride really" She fucking irritates me.

"You could get sick" I warn her.

"I'm already sick" I find that literal as she shrugs her shoulders and looks like she doesn't care anymore.

"I'm not going to say it again, get in the car" I say through teeth hovering over her. She looks me in the eye, with the rain falling from above us I can see her gulp yet she stands confident. Her eyes are a hazel color. From afar I thought she had brown eyes. They look like Sarah's. Vulnerable, but different. In a strange way.

"I'm fine" She states lastly. This girl just can't take a simple gesture.

"Look, when I offer help to someone usually they are suppose to accept it. With no comment against it. Now if you don't want me to help you, then fine by me. Just later on in the future don't come asking for my help" She blinks several times. Her breathing picking up. She doesn't say anything else, I stand there for a few moments thinking that she'll give in. But she doesn't. So I turn to walk away. Soaking I get into my car and proceed to where I was going, looking through the rear view mirror I catch her sliding on the wall of a building. There's a feeling inside me that makes me regret not dragging her into my car. She could get sick, but I ignore it. She isn't my problem, it's her decision not mine and I don't want to get into it.

I get to my building half an hour later. I run out of my car under the pouring rain and get into the elevator. My thoughts stay on Maisie still out there alone. Fuck. She's still on my mind, and its because I've left her there. I feel guilty for some reason. On the way up in the elevator I start debating with myself. I don't even know her, yet I know she'll get sick. She's sick anyways for staying there and not wanting to come with me.

When the doors open, that's when it hits me. Damnit! I walk out of the elevator and head for my door. Quickly unlocking it, I run in and grab a blanket under all the mess I have. Then again I lock my door shut and head back towards the elevator. I don't run like this, but I've noticed that Harry has got an interest in her. Or Vanessa. Which ever it is, I think going back for Maisie seems like a good idea. Maybe I should call Harry and tell him to pick her up. I think he's busy tonight. By the time that I come up with an idea, I'm already on my way to where I found her.

And for the record, I'm not doing this for her.
