8. A Lesson To Mr. Li

People always say the wall has ears, well the wall in show business was covered with ears.

“I’m fine, thanks to Wei Chang Feng.” Qi Le An put down the drinks and replied.

Assistant He sighed and opened the door for Hu Bin.

The crew were going to work in Team A/on Location and Team B/in Studio for a few days to save time staring from the day after, Hu Bin, Lin Xue and Wei Chang Feng would be shooting with Team A, while the rest would shoot with Team B.

Hu Bin left them reluctantly.

Qi Le An had no shooting the next morning, but he couldn’t fall asleep after Assistant He left. He figured he might as well get up and study the scripts, Weibo(Chinese Twitter) wasn’t a thing back then, Qi Le An found he could concentrate better without distractions like social media.

Qi Le An had lunch around eleven, then he went to the setting. Having no assistant, Qi Le An was used to take care of himself.

The Deputy Director appreciated this young man a lot, he even greeted Qi Le An on his initiative. Qi Le An greeted him as well, then he went to the dressing room.

Hu Bin and Lin Xue were back on the weekend, Hu Bin told Qi Le An that Wei Chang Feng had left for his part was all finished.

Mr. Li came to visit Qi Le An this day, he brought a lot of snacks for the crew members, “Our An is very lucky to work with this crew, please bear with him if he does something wrong.”

Mr. Li looked so friendly, all the crew members started to like Mr. Li as well, they thought Qi Le An was Mr. Li’s student, Mr. Li must be really nice as well.

The Deputy Director allowed Qi Le An to spend some time with Mr. Li in the afternoon.

However, Mr. Li’s face darkened as soon as he walked out of the setting with Qi Le An.

“An, I heard you’ve offended Boss Wang?” Disapproval was written all over Mr. Li’s face.

“That was pure misunderstanding,” Qi Le An explained, he didn’t want say anything that might upset Mr. Li at the moment so he simply added, “it’s all settled now.”

Mr. Li looked a bit displeased, “Boss Wang has a lot of connections, don’t offend him any more. Let’s go apologize to him tonight.”

Then Mr. Li said, “I need some rest now, wake me up later.” Mr. Li was exhausted for he had taken the earliest flight that morning.
