Qi Le An was so excited about going back to school that he woke up at 6 o’clock the next morning.

And he was unable to fall asleep after that.

So Qi Le An checked his school bag, again and again, then he put on his school uniform and cooked himself some scrambled eggs for breakfast.

It was still early, the boy then took out his textbook and studied until seven twenty. He checked everything one more time before he went downstairs, humming and whistling.

Chen Shan had just parked when Qi Le An walked downstairs. When he saw the aspiring young man in the stylish uniform, he nodded in approval.

“An, you look like you are shooting some idol drama with your high school uniform on,” Chen Shan said.

Qi Le An smiled, he said no in his heart, because he found himself a bit too short to cast for an idol drama.

He had only grown an inch or so or the past six months…

Qi Le An felt so downhearted on recalling the fact that he didn’t hit six feet tall, he found the young starlets were getting taller and taller these days, how he wished he could grow taller.

Chen Shan drove quickly and arrived at the school gate in less than 20 minutes. The students in the international department were all from rich families, there were so many luxury cars parked at the school gate already.

“Would you like to sneak in right before your class starts?” Chen Shan was a little shocked when he saw the large flow of people. He couldn’t help but get worried for Qi Le An, ‘What if people surround him, no, I will do my best and protect him!’

“It’s not necessary. Aren’t we all school uniforms?”

Qi Le An said that, but his tone was filled with uncertainty as well.

“Why not put on your hat?” Chen Shan suggested.

“Isn’t that more eye-catching?” Qi Le An asked suspiciously.

The car behind them started to honk as they discussed whether Qi Le An needed to wear a hat. Hearing that, Qi Le An gritted his teeth and grabbed the hat that Chen Shan had prepared for him, “All righty then, hat on! Thanks for the ride, bye-bye!”

“You…” Chen Shan said, “Feel free to call me if something comes up!”

Qi Le An nodded, he pushed open the car door and walked out.

Qi Le An was not recognized by anyone thanks to the hectic first day of the new semester. He was stopped and ordered to remove his hat when he entered the school building by the dean. Qi Le An stood awkwardly at the door of the school building, it wasn’t until now did he realize students were not allowed to wear hats on campus.

Standing next to the dean, Qi Le An hesitated for a moment and moved his hat up a little.

“Madam, I… I’m so sorry…” Qi Le An said apologetically.

The dean was a woman in her forties. When she saw Qi Le An’s face, her eyes widened. Some students who were standing behind the dean had recognized Qi Le An and they couldn’t help but scream.

The dean turned around and shot them a warning look, the kids covered their mouths in astonishment.

However, they couldn’t help but jump for joy. Seeing more and more people gazing at him, Qi Le An lower his head and asked, “Madam, can I take off my hat later, please give me a chance to explain the whole thing in your office.”

The dean hesitated for a moment and said, “It’s all right, I know your situation, but I hope you can try your best to abide by school regulations. And you need to see your headteacher before you go to your classroom.”
