Not a moment had passed, but the room had been filled and drained of emotion and energy. The twisted nature of the mirror had stolen their minds and manipulated them with incomprehensible information. Their hearts were beaten in sync, but the only noise was the hushed cascade of the impossible waterfall behind them. As they stared in awe and shock, Vanessa cried out in a sense of agony. "What the hell? What is all this?"
She turned dramatically and stumbled over to the boulder behind the group. Lacy looked over to Ponder, they looked at each other for a moment before Lacy nodded and walked over to Vanessa. "Hey, Vanny, look at me. How are you doing?"
"God! This is all bullshit, isn't it? I must be delusional! How is everybody okay with this? I just wanted to get back to the surface, not talk to parallel me with trauma! I have enough of that, I don't want to hear about another me!"
Lacy put an arm around Vanessa. "Hey, Vanessa, I don't know what's happening either, but we won't get anywhere like this. You got this, look at yourself, Queen! You'll make it out of here with us perfectly fine. Here, let me grab something for those tears."
Lacy opened her purse and perused it. She murmured, "Wait, where the fuck is my phone... oh yeah... the water stuff... well I hope it's lost forever. Got things there nobody except a boyfriend should see." Lacy took out her scarf and then some tissues hidden below. As she offered tissues, Vanessa grabbed the end of the scarf and buried her face into it.
Lacy stared with undistilled rage. However, when Vanessa looked up with teary eyes, Lacy's visage changed back into sympathy. However, Vanessa could still see the hidden fire within and whimpered as she noticed the tissue she was actually offering.
Ponder sighed, "Well, I'm not entirely sure about everything, but I think we should be good to go. I don't know what else we could learn. That being said, that other Ponder had a good point. Let's not talk about this too much. There's something ominous and cursed about this place. I don't know what Napoleon's plan here is, but there's no sign of tampering here. Right?"
Phoebe then spoke allowed, "This place is more likely blessed, not cursed. However, cursed is probably right because it's absolutely fucked. No doubt, this place can be abused. How? Not entirely sure."
John agreed, "I agree!"
Jeremiah walked forward and tapped the mirror. "How curious indeed. Bless-ed damnation?" The moment he tapped the mirror nothing had happened, but soon after he spoke "War" and a red pulse swam through the mirror. "What the-"
The mirror changed and now they were replaced with Team Legacy. This was most notable as they seemed more exact to the friends they all made in Lumin City at the start of the Pokemon League. The air grew tense as a connection was made, but equally felt tumultuous in balance. This was no balance of counterparts, if anything it was a placement of convenience as two had no reflections.
Ponder stood across Roberto.
John stood across Xhain.
Battousai stood across Abby.
Jeremiah stood across Winter.
Phoebe stood across Rose.
Lacy and Vanessa stood in the back.
Travis of High Society was nowhere to be seen.
From both sides, there was a sense of apprehension. Their bodies showed an absolute form of composure, but their eyes betrayed them.
The silence finally broke when Winter Anaheim openly asked, "Jeremiah, why do you look like a fuckboy?" Jeremiah stayed silent but crossed his arm at the rude remark.
