Chapter 14

sister (n.) a female person who has the same parents as another person

After grabbing Riley from Lou, Harry and I were laying in bed. It was around midnight. Of course Harry wouldn't drop the topic of how skinny I looked and I was getting annoyed. I told him that I was eating. I told him that I'd always been on the skinnier side, but did he believe me? No.

"Charlotte. Please just tell me. Whatever it is that's bothering you. I can help you." He pleaded.

I just rolled my eyes, "Thanks for trusting me, Harry." I snapped.

He looked at me with sad eyes.

"I just don't want you to be hurting yourself, Charlotte. You have a daughter that you need to be here for. I'm worried. Am I not allowed to be worried about my girlfriend?" He questioned.

I sighed, "Harry, being worried and not believing me are two completely different things."

"Okay. I'm sorry, Charlotte. I do believe you. I trust you. I just don't want anything to happen, that's all. Can we not argue?" He breathed.

I nodded and closed my eyes.

"Uhm, tomorrow I want you to meet my sister. She's in town to see me and I want you to come with. She's great. Her name is Gemma." Harry spoke.

"Okay, sounds fun. Can Riley come as well?"

"Of course. Gemma loves kids." He smiled.

And with that, Harry kissed me goodnight and I slowly drifted off into dream land.

The next morning, Harry woke me up around 9:30. Riley was still sleeping to my surprise, but I had to get her up for the day. She took the longest to get ready. I fed her some gross looking baby food, but she loved it. I can't even remember what was in it because I was about to puke the entire time I fed it to her.

"Charlotte! We need to leave in 20 minutes. Gemma is waiting for us at some cafe." Harry yelled from the other room.

Shit. I'm not ready what so ever.

"Uh, okay. I'll be ready." I yell back.

I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked awful. Makeup smeared across my face. My hair looked like a lions mane who had just gotten into a brawl with another cat. It was terrible. I laughed and did my hair- well attempted to.

"Okay. We are ready." I spoke to Harry.

"Both are so beautiful too." He smirked.

I blushed and Riley giggled. Once we were in the car, one of my favorite songs was playing the background.

"Can you turn the music up please?" I asked the driver.

Of course he did. Harry started singing along with the song and I looked at him in shock.

"You know this song?" I asked.

"Of course! This is Anthem Lights, right? Can't Get Over You?" He smirked, still singing.

I nodded with a huge smile on my face.

"I can't get over the way your love stays the same... Even through the good and the bad times, you stay the same... So my song will remain." He sang beautifully.

"Hold me, pull me just a little bit closer, I don't wanna lose this moment. Your love has covered me and now I can't get over you." We both sang and then the song ended.

"You are so talented, Harry." I smiled at him.

"Thank you, Char. I try."

I leaned in and kissed his soft lips.
