Glossary part 1

Regular Characters From past to present and future:

Didyme - Aro's child sister. An energetic girl whom is loved by everyone she meets.

Aro- Didyme's elder brother. His gifts allowed him great insight into others. Insight that has allowed him to glimpse into a darker world. Later Volturi King along with Marcus and Caius.

Athenodora- Vampire and priestess of the Athena Temple. Caius's wife.

Marcus- Future lover of Didyme. Has a psychic insight into the relationships of others.

Caius- A member of the Dacia coven. Leaves with Athenodora to the Athenian coven. The ability to summon fire is his power.

Original Characters:

Zenobia: The hybrid daughter of the eldest known vampire in existence and the Minoan priestess Ione. She is wise, sensual but very blunt. However she fears herself becoming a copy of her megalomaniacal and selfish father. Molecular manipulation is her power. A power which allows her to move the earth (Similar to Earth benders) and explode vampires and living creatures by rapid excelleration of molecules.

Merenfre, Spiridon: The Leech Sorcerer. The father of several hybrids. Zenobia's eccentric, power hungry, crazy, and scheming father. Born in the settlement of Kom Umbo. Later would join younger vampires to form the Karnak coven. The coven whom would move to Memphis a thousand years later. After being banished by the coven; He settled in Kreta on the promise to live quietly. Now heads a masked hybrid cult whom are mesmerized by his boundless powers that steal other vampire's gifts. Spiridon's long existence, great knowledge and capabilities have made him an manipulative vampire with a god complex.

Atekhra: Merenfre's first son, first (known) hybrid ever to be born and second in command. His father treats him as a lackey and the thing that killed his first wife and true love Seta. He possesses the ability to put others under hypnosis. He hates living with his father but knows he would not make it far without him.

Thanasis: A minoan prince created into a vampire by his hybrid sister. Later highered as Zenobia's loyal squire. One of the few that know the existence of hybrids. His gift is illusions that fool the sight, smell and hearing senses. The half brother of Troilus.

Kalliope: Originally from Lakedeamon coven. Turned by Queen Panthea to be her eternal child daughter. Capable of astral projection. A gift good for spying and possessing others.

Troilus, Themis: A people pleaser and one of the few Minoan vampires in existence. The former prince of Knossos and son of the priestess Queen Niobe. Telekinesis is his special ability.

Queen Niobe: Queen of Knossos. Allowed Spiridon into her city with a promise he would share his knowledge with her and live peacefully. However that peace was short considering the egos of the two. With the help of Spiridon she too would sacrifice her life to borne a hybrid.

Ione: Priestess of Gaia, Mother of Zenobia. Obsessed with her husband Spiridon, she too would die giving birth to her daughter whom she would equate to a goddess. If she became a vampire her powers would be similar to Zenobia's.

Kassandra: A young woman from a fallen city to the east. Premonition is her secret ability.

Acantha: Another priestess of Athena. Controlling and erasing Memories is her special gift.

Keru: Wondrous Dhampir King of Ur. Rapid regeneration is his special power. A handsome giant of a man with trust issues, charisma and unhealthy obsessions. Possesses many wifes and his children make up most of his army. Infamous for massacring the corrupt nobility of his kingdom.

Asherah: Keru's #1 faithful wife. She is obsessed with Keru and will die for him if the event called for her sacrifice. Controls his armies with her commanding powers.

The Athenian coven: Founded by Athenodora but handed over to others when she traveled north to Dacia. The place where she would meet Caius.

The Volturi: The former athenian coven settled here after the destruction of their home during the late Etruscan era. Located in Volterra a province close to Tuscany, Italy. The Volturi are the monarchy of the vampire world.

The Cult Of the Obsidian God - A vampire cult sect founded by Merenfre/Spiridon.
In ancient Egypt the cult worshipped Amsu (Min) the phallic fertility god. After being banished by the Karnak coven for unusual practices (like consorting with humans) Merenfre disbanded his cult group. He and Atekhre joined Niobe with ambitions of getting vengeance against the Karnak coven. He took on the greek name Spiridon (which means something like 'little man'... Ah, the irony). However due to natural and unnatural disasters their plans were compromised. After the first disaster to befall them both went into the east reaching Syria. 500 years later Merenfre would revive his cult. Behind jackal and lioness masks are the faces of Spiridon's hybrid and vampire children. Some are adopted. All occupy the position of his guards, priests and henchmen. All hybrids and turned vampires (whom are blood and venom members of his family) call him father.
