PROMISE

Kartikeya was mounted on his peacock, flying to the south when he suddenly heard someone calling him. He decided to check.

He went down from the clouds and saw two young ladies chanting his name, who were none other than Sundaravalli and Amruthavalli.

When they felt someone's presence, they opened their eyes and we're overjoyed seeing their lord Kartikeya in front of them.

"Pranam prabhu." They bowed.

"Deviyo, mai aapke tap se prasann huya. Kahiye, kya prapt karna hai aapko ?" Kartikeya asked.

"Prabhu, hum dono Shri Hari Narayan ki putriya hai, aapke karan hi humara janm huya hai." Sundaravalli said.

"Aur aapki seva karna hi humare jeevan ka udeshya hai. Hum dono se vivah karke hume Dhanya kijiye." Amruthavalli said.

"Kintu deviyo, mujhe dakshin ki raksha ka karya mila hai, use pura kiye bina mai aapse vivah kaise kar sakta hu ?" Kartikeya denied.

"Kintu prabhu, humare janm ke saath hi aapke liye hridaye mei niswarth prem ki bhavna utpan ho chuki hai." Sundaravalli said.

"Aapka saath hume na prapt huya toh humara jeevan nirarthak hai. Humari nishtha ka uchit parinam de prabhu." Amruthavalli said.

"Deviyo, meri sampoorn nishtha mere kartavya par hai. Aur jab tak mai apna kartavya purn nahi karta tab tak mai aap dono par dhyan nahi de payunga." Kartikeya reasoned.

Both the ladies looked at each other and then at him, their eyes begging him to accept him. Kartikeya sighed, looking at them.

"Nirash na ho, mai aapko ek vachan deta hu. Aapke agle janm mei jab sabhi paristhitiya uchit hongi, tab mai aap dono se vivah awashya karunga." Kartikeya promised.

"Humare liye itna hi paryapt hai prabhu." Sundaravalli said.

"Hum aapki pratiksha karenge." Amruthavalli said.

They both bowed to him and Kartikeya left. Now the purpose of this life was over and how they would wait to take their next birth.

On the other side someone was also ready to take as many births as it takes to marry Shreeshaktiswar, this was none other than Jalasya.

She has been lost in his thoughts for years ever since coming from Harihareshwari's birthday.

"Kaash mujhe bhi koi aisa milta jo mujhse utna hi prem karta jitna Shreeshaktiswar Harihareshwari se karte hai." Jalasya said.

"Varsho se unki khayalo mei dubi hai aap kumari, na jane kitne varan-prastav thukra chuki hai, Shreeshaktiswar jaisa prem karne wala vyakti milna asambhav hai." Her personal maid, Charumati said.

"Aisa mat kaho Charu !" Jalasya said.

Suddenly Varundev came into the room.

"Pranam Pitashree." Jalasya greeted.

"Kalyanamstu putri. Tum abhi tak sajj nahi huyi ?" He asked.

"Sajj ? Kis liye ?" Jalasya asked.

"Indradev ke rajyabhishek mei jana hai." Varundev said.

"Oh ! Mai toh bhul hi gayi. Abhi sajj hole aati hu Pitashree." Jalasya said.

A/N

In their next lives Sundaravalli becomes the daughter of Prajapati Arishthanemi as Devsena, who was later adopted by Indra.

And Amruthavalli takes birth as Shrivalli, her story is a bit complicated but we'll look into it in the future.
