"What do you mean that you have to leave? You'll come back right away, right? You'd come back to me, right? Do you really need to go. Can't we just let someone else to take your place?" asked a 10 year old boy with red hair.
"You know I have to go. I'm the only one allowed by the sage to go. It can't be helped. I promise once I've come back I'll make up for lost time." reassured a 7 year old silver white haired girl. The young boy looked at his friend with tears threatening to fall from his eyes.
"Rein I promise to return back to you as soon as possible. Look I even made us this." said the young girl while taking something out from her pocket. The young girl revealed two necklaces one shaped like the sun while the other is shaped like a crescent moon. The necklaces both have a jewel adorned at it's center. The young girl handed the young boy the one shaped like the sun while she kept the other one.
"I made them as a symbol of our promise. The jewel is enchanted with a protection spell so that it will protect you in my stead and look... They fit together. Knowing you you'll put other before yourself so I'm quite worried you would do something idiotic." said the young girl while showing that the two necklace fit together.
The door opened showing a servant. The servant looked at the young nobles looking hesitant but cleared her throat, "I apologize for disrupting your conversation young mistress m'lord but it's time for the young mistress to leave." The two looked at each other obviously unhappy that they have to part ways.
"I guess this is goodbye?" Reinhard asked with a crestfallen look. "Please come back safe I wouldn't know what to do if you don't come back. Everyone started to leave me. First mother, then grandmother, grandfather, and father. Please don't abandon me." the young boy pleaded, tears running down his face.
"I wouldn't say goodbye rather I would say see you soon. It's not like I'm leaving forever you know. It's just for a small time, okay?" said the young girl while hugging her friend. "I promise I will wait for you to return home no matter how long it takes. You're the most precious person in my life." said the young lad while returning the hug.
The young girl walked towards the door while glancing at the young boy one last time. The door closed the young boy stared at the empty spot next to him where his fiancee used to seat. "... See you soon (y/n)." he muttered while looking at the sky.
