REINHARD POV

It's already been 8 years since Thea left and the only person I could ask about her current state is the former great spirit of wind Lord Caelus. Lord Caelus has been visiting (y/n) while she was studying and has been giving her family and I information about her well being. During the duration of her leave I've been working hard to get stronger so that I could protect her and be a man she could rely on. (Y/n) was the only one who stayed by my side not as Reinhard the Sword Saint but just Reinhard.

My future brother-in-law and sister-in-law Myles Louie Ainsworth and Charlotte Auger would help maintain the manor since they promised their little sister that they would help me during the duration of her leave. I still remember how (y/n) and I would hide from the servants and they would just run right past us and me and Thea would just laugh even though we both knew that we would get scolded by her parents afterwards. I remember how (Y/n) would help me understand my lesson even though I'm older than her. It did make me proud that my fiancee is incredible smart but, it did hurt a little that I'm the one needing help and not the other way around.

Looking at the necklace Thea gave me the jewel at the center is the same hue as her rose pink eyes which reminds me of her whenever I looked at it. Grimm walked towards me showing a conversing mirror showing Lord Myles. It looks like Lord Caelus said (y/n) would be returning home soon but the exact date is still undetermined so he would be sending a few knights to an inn close to the Sage's Ruins. He informed me since he said that it's my right to know since I'm his little sister's fiancee. I told him that I wish to be part of the group if knights to stay close to the Sage's Ruins since it's my job as (y/n)'s fiancee to keep her safe.

Lord Myles agreed and said that he would help run the Astrea Manor while I'm away. He did warn me not to get too close to his sister saying she's not a child anymore. I told Grimm and Carol that my dear fiancee would be returning soon and to prepare a room for her in case she wants to stay at the Astrea Manor. The two smile at each other and enthusiastically did what I told them.
After my items were packed I went to the Ainsworth Manor where their knights where gathering. I look closely and saw some familiar faces. Felix waved at me while Julius smiled, it seems that Felix asked Lady Crusch to allow him to join when he overheard Lady Crusch and Lady Charlotte talking about Thea's return home and asked Julius if he wants to come to which he nodded in agreement.

AT THE INN

When we arrived at the inn, Lady Charlotte already booked the whole inn for us since she doesn't want her little sister to interact with strangers. Once we arrived at our rooms Felix immediately went towards Julius and I. It seems that he's excited to see Thea again as she is the only thing he talks about.

A FEW DAYS LATER

"I can't believe that (y/n)-kyun would be here soon. I can't wait to play with her again. You can't wait to see her too right, Reinhard-kyun?", asked the brown haired knight with glee.

"Of course I am.", I curtly replied with a smile on my face. "Do you think (y/n)-kyun looks different now? It's been a few years since we last saw her so she might have cut her hair or change her hairstyle. I hope I'm still taller though. I wonder what kind of clothes (y/n)-kyun would wear. What do you think Reinhard?", questioned Felix.

"I'm sure (y/n) would look wonderful in whatever she wears.", I replied. Felix pouted at me, " Knowing Reinhard he'll shower compliments at (y/n)-kyun at anything she does or wear. Ahhh... your infatuation with (y/n)-kyun is still as strong as ever, though I would hold back a little since some people see it as a turn off. Well... knowing (y/n)-kyun she's already used to you being affectionate, but she is should be around 15 years old so she might distance herself from you a bit."
