chapter 4

DREAM
(Y/N) POV

"What's going on? Please don't talk to me. Please don't talk to me. Why can't my life return to normal? I'm already content with my life. I have a loving family, I'm doing great at school, I have two genuine friends, I get to spend a lot of time doing my hobbies. Why does this have to happen to me? Just looking at him makes me feel guilty. He looks ecstatic to see me but I don't know anything about him. What do I do?", I internally panicked not knowing what to do in this situation.

"So... how are you?", I hesitantly asked. The young man now known as Reinhard smiled at me, "I'm doing fine, I should be asking you that question. Are you alright? How are you faring with your studies? You've been taking good care of yourself right?"

"Studies does he mean my school works? Why does he even want to know how I'm doing at school? Should I answer his question? It is rude to not answer a question especially if that question came from someone who is concerned about you. But why would he be worried about me? Is he someone I've known in the past. Well for some reason I don't remember a lot about my childhood before I was adopted by my grandparents. Augh... Let's just answer his question. What could go wrong?", I inwardly sigh and decided to entertain him for a while.

"I'm doing fine. As for my studies I'm faring quite well. School is very entertaining and I've learned a lot in different subjects such as in social studies I've learned a lot about the history and geography of Japan and East Asia in an international context. In mathematics I've learned a lot about general math, algebra, geometry, basic analysis, differentiation and integration, and probability and statistics. In science the school requires the students to take two courses from comprehensive science, basic science, physics, chemistry, biology, or earth science. Outside of my school studies I've been reading and researching a lot about astronomy, mythology and chemistry. I've also been researching about how everyday items such as clothing and accessories, food, industrial products, musical instruments, and sporting goods are manufactured.", I rambled on and on about what I've been studying about.

THIRD PERSON POV

While (y/n) talked about her studies Reinhard looked at the young girl with a content look on his face. He left out a small chuckle clearly amused by his female companion. The girl stopped talking and looked at the young man, obviously confused at what he found hilarious.

Reinhard smiled, "You haven't changed a bit even though we haven't seen each other for a long time. It's good to know that you're enjoying your time there. I've missed you so much, I don't know how we got here but I'm glad I've gotten a chance to see you after a long time." Moving closer to the young girl he engulfed her in a tight embrace hiding his face into her neck. Shocked by the young man's action the ravenette hesitantly hugged back. The young man happy that the female reciprocated the hug started to nuzzle his face against the young girl's neck to show how elated he is, which in return flustered the young girl.

"I suppose your doing fine yourself?", the young girl asked, trying to calm herself.

"I've been faring quite well even though you were gone. At the age of fourteen I was asked to join the Royal Guard. A lot has changed after you left. I hope we get to see each other soon, preferably outside a dream. Of course I'm not rushing you to finish your work there it's just... I'd really appreciate it if you would return home early that's all.", Reinhard said while mumbling the last part. The young girl noticed the forlorn tone of the male and hesitantly softly draw circles on his back, trying to comfort him.

The young girl hummed a soft tune in order to soothe the young man. The male continued to nuzzle into the young girl's neck with a content look on his face. Silence envelopes the air as the two stayed in the same position.
Suddenly, the place started to warp and little by little the flowers and land started to fade away.

"Looks like this is the end of this dream.", the young girl said, glancing at how everything around them started to disappear. Reinhard looked at the young girl with a frown clearly
sad that they have to part ways again. "It seems so. It was my pleasure to be able to spend time with you here I hope we will be able to see each other soon.", said the young man while giving the young girl one last squeeze before letting her go. The young girl just nod and gave him a small smile while looking at the young man before everything went blank.

END OF THE DREAM

(Y/N) POV

"Umm...", I groan while rubbing my eyes. I look around and I find myself in my room wearing my pajamas. I let out a sigh of relief knowing that I'm inside my room and not at some random place. My phone started to ring and it turns out to be Mia calling me. I picked up the phone and swipe it to accept her call only to be greeted by her house and loud voice.

Mia: Good Morning Star I hope you're  doing fine. Sky said you're all alone so... I thought you might need some company. I mean I can't visit you since I'm currently on Okinawa for a vacation but I can keep you company through phone calls and video call.

(Y/n): Good morning to you too Mia. I'm doing fine here and don't worry I'm not alone I have Aoi Pollux, Castor, and the employees here to keep me occupied.

Mia: I see... Are you sure you're okay? You have the tendency to lie about yourself so that you wouldn't bother anyone and you keep everything bottled up inside. It's not healthy you know. I'm always willing to help you know. I can't let my adorable little Star struggle all on her own.

(Y/n): *giggling* You're still treating me like I'm your younger sister you know.

Mia: Well I am older than you by six months. Anyway what seems to be the matter (n/n)?

(Y/n): The past few days I've been having strange dreams.

Mia: Strange dreams? About what?

(Y/n): About some red haired boy.

Mia: Wait. You're having dreams about a boy. A boy? Is this for real?! This isn't a joke right?!

(Y/n): Of course this isn't a joke. I'm currently distressed about why I'm having this strange dreams.

Mia: I can't believe this. Spring has finally arrived for my little Star. Ahhh... I must tell sky about this.

(Y/n): Wait spring as in love? That's impossible I don't even know him.

Mia: Come on now star, everyone will fall in love eventually. There's nothing to be embarrassed about. Now for the real question, does your family especially your brother know about this young man? We can't have your brother hunt down the poor guy and threaten him to stay away from you. Well... it is adorable that your brother is very protective. So where did you two met? Do I know him?

(Y/n): Slow down okay? Are you even listening to me? I told you I don't know him. It's impossible for me to fall in love with someone I don't even know. And what do you mean by 'hunt down' my brother would never do something as barbaric as that.

Mia: ... I see. You do have a point. No one would fall in love with someone they don't know. So what does he look like? Is he handsome?

(Y/n): He had flaming red hair and sky blue eyes. He looks like he's about six feet tall and... he does have a handsome face. Why are you even asking?

Mia: Oh nothing serious. I'm just gonna search for him you know like find who he is, where he lives, how old he is, just the regular stuff. I've got to know what kind of person he is so that I can decide whether or not he deserves you.

(Y/n): Why are talking like what you're about to do is completely normal? We don't even know if he even exist. What type of person have red hair at birth? I know some people are born with red hair but his looks very different from normal red haired people.

Mia: Don't be a pessimist Star, you'll never know until you try, and I'm gonna try to find your soulmate. Ahhh I can't wait. My little Star is all grown up now. Well gotta start right now if we want to find him sooner than later. See you later (n/n) I promise to give you a report once I'm done. Toodles.

END OF CALL

"And she hang up. What am I going to do if Haruya Onii-chan finds out. Augh... I knew it. I shouldn't have told Mia about those dreams. Knowing her she's going to Sora about how I'm 'in love' with someone.", I said while shoving my face into my pillow.

" In love there's no way I'm in love. It's impossible."
