In the end, Emma did not get her tea to go. If anything, she ended up having a glass of burbon placed right in front of her. Not that she was drinking it. But according to Klaus, she loooked like 'she was in need of something much stronger'. As for him and his brother, well, she'd lost count of how many glasses they'd had by now.
"You would have loved it. All the parties, the glamour, everyone was carefree." Klaus told Emma as he and Kol reminisced over some memories from their past. In truth, it wasn't so bad being around them tonight. Even Kol seemed to be behaving, if you ignored some of his more flirtatious lines that she kept shooting down. But their stories of adventures and fun times together did help Emma take her mind off of her mother and their argument earlier in the day.
"Klaus, when have you gotten the impression I enjoy parties?" Emma asked with an amused smile.
"Oh come on, darling, you can't say you didn't have fun last night. I certainly can think of a couple of highlights." Kol pointed out with a smirk on his face.
"Well the first that springs to my mind is the highlight of you breaking Matt's hand." Emma retorted with a fake smile sent towards the Mikaelson.
"Oh come on, Emma. I am certain you had fun, at least up until then. I do remember you breaking your rule of no drinking for a glass or two of champagne." Klaus reminded her, making Emma shake her head in amusement. Of course he'd notice something as simple as the fact that she drank some champagne.
"Well, I had only one. The second wasn't as good, and it felt weird." Emma's nose schunched up as she remembered that second glass.
"I think the word you're looking for is drunk." Klaus teased, making her turn to him and smack his shoulder lightly with an offended expression on her face.
"I didn't get durnk on a single glass of champagne." She argued back before her own face morphed into a teasing smile as she had the perfect idea on how to get Klaus to leave her alone. "But what about you Klaus? I'm sure you have highlights of your own form last night?"
The look on her face made Klaus more than aware of where she was going with this. And it wasn't long before he was the one glaring at her. But on this occasion, the universe actually seemed to work in Emma's favour.
"Oh, I remember her from last night." Kol's comment made both Klaus and Emma turn their heads to glance at the door as a particular blonde walked through it and into the Grill. Emma couldn't hold back the laughter which bubbled past her lips.
"She's hard to forget considering she makes Klaus smile like a retriever happy to see his owner after a long day." Emma commented, revelling in the look she received from the hybrid at the comparison. If they were planning on teasing her throughout the night, she would certainly return the favour.
"She looks like a tasty little thing." Kol added on.
"Say another word and I'll tear out your liver." Klaus' words made Emma let out a sudden caugh as her own laughter hitched in her throat in surprise. This was better than expected. And it just kept going. "Caroline."
"Oh, it's you." Caroline paused as she regraded him, crossing her arms over her chest to show her displeasure of being forced to talk to him. Emma and Kol shared an amused look, both obviously having way too much fun with this.
"Join us for a drink?" Klaus invited.
"Hm..." Caroline pretended as if she were thinking about it for a moment, but her answer was clear long before she even gave it. "I'd rather die of thirst, but thanks."
"And she's got taste." Emma laughed in amusement although it did get her a pointed look from all three vampires. "Yes, yes, I know that the implications are that I don't since I did join them. Don't judge me, please." Emma laughed at her own expense, not really caring about the implications.
