Still sitting in school. Watching the clock move slower than it normally does. I'm antsy to get out of this stupid classroom, it's a Friday and tonight I've got to be at the park where my friends and I are attending a huge annual bonfire. I heard it's pretty amazing, only high schoolers can get in and this year I'm officially a freshman ready to fit in with the "mature"classes if you will. Part of me is nervous though, I'm not exactly the funniest or most social person you could meet. I'm that quiet girl in the back with the goody goody label stuck on her forehead. I have a light brown hair color that kinda shines in the sun (I think at least) my eyes are a mix between hazel and brown. I'd do anything for blue eyes. No, if your wondering I'm not exactly pretty in my opinion, at least not like the popular girls at Northern High here. My eyes are like that of the figure of an almond my nose is shaped kinda straight and rounded at the end. I'm so-
"Lily" Mr. Thomas barks directly at me.
"Hm.., oh right" everyone is staring at me. Has he been talking this whole time? "um could you repeat the question please?" my voice is soft and quiet.
"What? speak up missy" he looks pissed.
The bell saves me and students pile out for the weekend. I pretty much run out the door before Mr. Thomas can chew me out for spacing off in class again. This isn't the first time and it won't be the last. I spend a lot of time in my own fantasy world you could call it.
"Hey, Lily meet me outside I've got my mom's car today so I can drive us to the park okay?" Macy with a mouthful of pink bubblegum races by.
"Yeah I'll be right out after I get my stuff from the locker room!" I basically shout after her, she never fully is listening to anyone. I watch her long dark brown hair sway from side to side along the top of her levi jeans. She has a long, but soft face with beautiful dark brown eyes and pretty lashes she coats in mascara. She's always had a one track mind, which shows when she's got something more important than the conversation she might be having.these tiny hallways give us students absolutely no room. By the time I get to the gym, I've smacked my elbow on three different binders and had my heel stepped on four or five times, but I make it there finally. The locker room is packed full with the cheerleading girls. I've never fit in with that group nor do I feel the urge to. My locker is clear in the back so I worm my way through smiling politely and excusing myself and I nudge past heavily perfumed bodies. Once I get to my stuff, I shove it all into my Adidas bag and make the long trip back out to the door.
