Arabella's POV
She's lying, lying, lying, lying... Denise's words echo in Ara's mind. She looks around at her sister and friends' reactions.
Molly gasps and jumps back, far away from Sandy.
Aster frowns in confusion, probably unsure if she should fight in Sandy's name, or follow along with Molly.
Poor Aster. She thought. Aster had always admired the queen, and tried to find out as much as she could about her, and the royal family. She had tens of thousands of holographic books, and had probably every single one in the universe. That's a lot of books.
Sandy looks at Ara. Ara bowed her head in apology. Denise was right. Earth had been abandoned. And Rosewood had been left behind long before that. She was lying. That was too bad. Ara had been hoping to find a friend in her. She put her hand on Aster's shoulder in comfort.
Sandy steps back, looking as though she's been slapped. "But if you won't listen, then who will?" She whispered. Then she turned away and ran down the stairs and out of the house.
Denise stepped back with a slightly pleased expression on her face.
Sandy's POV:
She ran out as fast as she could, out of the strange bubble shaped house, away from the people she'd hoped to make friends with, away from the ones who called her a liar.
She ran out over to the cornflower blue cart that had escorted her to this city, that had found her, rescued her from the capsule she'd crashed to this strange, unknown, and foreign (at least to her) planet. She wished she could go home. She wished she had never told Ara and Aster and Molly and Denise.
She kicked the side of the cart. It gave a heartbroken metallic twang. She winced. In kicking the cart, she'd not only scratched the paint, but she'd also banged her foot. Not the greatest of ideas, but at least it made her feel better. But only a bit.
She shrugged it off, and kept on running, farther and farther away from Ara and her friend's side of the town.
She kept on running for what seemed like an eternity, but eventually slowed to a stop, walked on a bit more until she got to a small park with a walk in cafe that overlooked the ocean. She went closer, and eased down into a seat. She'd seen a few places to stop on her way there, but none looked friendly enough, and that didn't accept cash. But this one however, did. Which was lucky for Sandy, as she had twenty dollars in her pocket.
"Huh."
Apparently the former people of Earth never changed their currency. She smiled, and shrugged it off as a robot waiter came over to her table, and pressed a button on the side, so that a holographic menu popped up. Sandy studied the menu for a minute, only realizing a minute later that there was an Earth food section, and non-Earth section! Her eyes widened, and she made a mental note to ask to see the owner of the establishment if they were from Earth. Then she made up her mind and ordered a slice of pizza.
"And I'll have a miscanksha (miss-conch-shaa)." A familiar voice said next to her.
She jumped up, gave a shout of surprise, and looked over to see who it was.
It was Ara.
Of course.
Ara giggled. "Oh! The look on your face was priceless!" She exclaimed. Then she leaned in a bit closer. "And you do startle easily."
Sandy glared and crossed her arms, pulling a classic Denise.
"How did you find me?"
