Rosalie watched her new best friend read a book as she quietly ate lunch at the Cullen's table. After a few weeks, Rosalie had declared that Annalise was her best friend and Alice couldn't steal her, which made the said human girl laugh, and for unknown reasons to the human girl, Rosalie nicknamed her 'Queenie'.

"Queenie, I want you to meet the rest of the family." Rosalie said, as Emmett gave her an encouraging smile.

Annalise looked up from her book and smiled, "I'd love to meet them. Wait." Annalise's eyes went wide and Jasper could sense her panic rising. "Should I bring something? Oh duck water, what if they don't like me?" Emmett tried to hold in his laughter at her not cursing but ended up failing.

"Oh yes Emmett, laugh at my pain. I'm serious!" Annalise said as Jasper tried to not laugh, sending calming waves to her.

"I think he's laughing because you said 'duck water' instead of cursing." Alice replied while a huge grin was on her face.

"I don't curse, it seems. Unladylike?" Annalise questioned with a grimace on her face. "Anyway, has no one realized none of you tried to reassure me?" She was still internally panicking.

"Sweetheart. Angel Face. Queenie." Alice began before Rosalie glared at her.

"I can only call her Queenie. And since when is she Angel face?" Rosalie asked, raising her perfect brow.

Alice cupped Annalise's face and turned her to face Rosalie. Annalise's cheeks were squashed and she looked absolutely adorable. Alice was giggling and Rosalie smiled, Emmett chuckled lowly and Jasper smiled.

"Okay, totally understood now." Rosalie said as she softly pinched Annalise's cheeks.

"Owieee" Annalise whined. "But in all seriousness. What if they don't like meeee?"

"They'll love you." Jasper started to say before Alice cut him off.

"Besides, you don't have a choice, we will kidnap you." She said, kissing Jasper softly as an apology, resulting in him just chuckling.

Annalise sighed and scratched her cheek. Groaning, she looked at them, "Fine, when? Should I bring anything? I'm gonna bring something."

"How about next saturday?" Jasper said. Annalise nodded and smiled at them.

After school, Annalise was standing next to Bella as she read, Suddenly a van came out of nowhere, soon Bella was pushed back, causing Annalise to be knocked over. Annalise's head hit the truck with a loud bang, soon hitting the ground, her vision going black. Bella was confused, at Edward who had knocked Bella out of the way. The smell of blood hit his nose, and his attention turned to Annalise who was laying on the ground with her head in a halo of blood.

No one really remembers what happened next, all they remember was Annalise and Bella were taken away in an ambulance. Rosalie didn't like Bella already, so when she witnessed Edward choose to save Bella over Annalise she was beyond pissed. Bella was in the hospital, and had been declared perfectly fine.

As she walked down the hallway, she found the Cullen family talking.

"He saved a mortal girl that has no significance, over my best friend who happens to be our queen and mated to three of the most powerful of our kind. Seriously?" Rosalie hissed, before their attention was drawn to Bella, who, thankfully, didn't hear the last part of what Rosalie had said.

Edward strolled towards the older Swan girl, as Carlisle went to talk to Charlie about his youngest.

Charlie looked up from his hands, looking at the doctor.

"Charlie. I'm so sorry." He said softly, and the man teared up.

"How?" The Swan nan asked, his voice trembling as it broke.

"Her head must have hit the truck or ground too hard, my guess is she hit it twice." Carlisle knew how much pain he must be, even if he didn't have Jasper's gift.

Charlie was soon left to be alone with his last daughter. Carlisle looked at Rosalie who had driven off.

Rosalie held the turning Annalise bridal style as she brought her to a small cottage that Esme had designed for the kings and Annalise for whenever they visited, (hopefully) back. Laying the girl on the bed, she moved and gathered some clothes for her to change her into.

"I'm so sorry, Queenie, if you weren't mated to them, I would have told you to run. I wouldn't have dragged you into this." Rosalie spoke softly, brushing a stray hair away from the girl's face.
