It was morning when I woke up on the day that I was going to meet my therapist for the first time.

Michael came into my room to check and see if I was awake, and when he saw that I was already dressed, he smiled.

When I came down for breakfast, the kids were already eating at the kitchen table.

"Do you want me to do your hair for you, sweetie"?

Michael asked, and I looked at him for a minute or two before nodding my head.

"Use your words".

He gently reminded me.

"Yes, I don't mind if you do my hair".

I spoke up.

"Good girl".

Michael smiled and patted me on the head before I sat down at the table.

He picked up a brush and gently fixed my hair to make it look nice and neat for the day.

"Daddy already did my hair. See"?

Paris showed me her hair which was in two braids.

"You look pretty..."

I said quietly.

"You'll be fine. The therapist is very nice and she's going to help us understand how to cope with your Autism".

Michael smiled again and then went to go fix me something to drink.

He gave me a small glass of water.

When I drank it all, I remembered that Michael always had his children drink plenty of water everyday.

Every once in a while, they could have some candy or a soda as a reward.

And now, he was making sure that I was doing the same.

After the children and I ate our breakfast, Michael told Paris, Prince, and Blanket to go and get ready to do online school.

"The therapist will be here soon, so I want you to go do something while we wait".

Michael told me, and then he walked away to go help his kids with getting set up for their online school.
