Amelia was on edge. Especially since she had found out her ex was back. She knew that things hadn't end well between them. And that she knew he held a grudge against her for dumping him.

When she woke that morning, she walked downstairs and saw Tom sitting with Lillie. She smiled. "Wow. She let you wake her up?" She asked.

Tom smiled and nodded. "Yeah. She did. She's lovely. She's had some cookie crisp cereal. And a Clarkson chocolate," he told her.

Amelia smiled. She sat down and sighed. She knew that Tom would need to know about her ex soon enough. But she didn't think she could open up to him about it.

Tom looked at her. "What are your plans for today?" He asked.

"I said I'd pick Summer up. Madison had a miscarriage two days ago and she's struggling. So I offered to pick Summer up for the day. If that's okay?"

Tom nodded. "Course. This is your home too. You don't need to ask. Is Madison okay?" He asked as he kissed her.

Amelia nodded and smiled. "She's hurting. She wanted the baby. But she's getting there. My mum had Summer last night. So I said I'd have her today."

"Okay. Me and Lillie can go to Tesco and get some cake mix?"

"Sounds lush."

Amelia went to Madison's house. Madison let her in and smiled. "Hey. Thank you so much for this."

"Don't thank me babes. You'd do the same for me. Are you okay?" She asked.

Madison shook her head. "I ordered some baby clothes didn't I? They came this morning and it brought it all back. The pain. And mum dropped off Summer this morning and she's been a right pain in the ass," she said.

Amelia picked up her niece. "Well I'll take her for the day. I'll feed her and you can relax. Have a warm bath and sleep."

"If only. Max is coming to get the rest of his stuff. We haven't talked since this happened. And I don't particularly want to speak to him," Madison said.

"Don't let him bully you. Seriously Madison. I know what he's like. You do not let him bully you," Amelia said.

Tom and Amelia had gotten the two girls to have a nap. Tom looked at her. "So do you want to tell me what's going on? You're on edge and you feel tense at night," he said.

Amelia sighed as she looked at him. "It doesn't matter. I've just had a few hard days. But it's going to be okay."

Tom wasn't convinced. He knew that something was bothering her. And he was worried. He didn't want her to keep any secrets from him. But he didn't know what he could do to get her to open up.

Tom had gone out to get some food. They were keeping Summer overnight. Tom had just come out of the chip shop when someone approached him. "You know Amelia Mason yeah?"

"What's it to do with you?"

The guy smirked. He winked. "Tell her that I'll see her soon. Oh, word of warning, I wouldn't trust her," he said as he walked off.

Tom frowned as he stood there. But what was Amelia hiding?
