Amelia hated how everything was getting complicated with her life. She knew how Max had threatened to take her to court. And she hated it. She hated how he was trying to ruin her life.

Amelia was also constantly on edge about Drew too. Knowing how he was out there still. And how he wanted to mess up her life. Amelia just hated how complicated that everything was becoming for her.

All she wanted was to give her girls a better life. A perfect family. But it sometimes felt like life was against her.

Especially as she knew Max had told her he would take her to court. Amelia didn't want that for Lillie. She didn't want her little girl going through the hell of having her parents fighting over her. It was one thing she never wanted for her little girl.

That morning, Amelia woke in bed and sighed. She heard Tom downstairs with the kids and smiled. She climbed out of bed and grabbed her dressing gown.

Amelia walked into the kitchen and saw Tom. She kissed him. "Morning," she said as she looked to him.

"Morning. This letter came for you. It looks official," Tom told her.

Amelia frowned and took the letter. She sighed and opened it. Her eyes widened. "It's Max. He's contacted a lawyer about our custody agreement. He says he wants more rights to Lillie."

Tom stood in shock. He sighed. "Look. We can sort this. I know we can. Everything will be okay," he told her.

"I could kill him. I honestly could!"

Tom pulled her into an hug. "Don't shout. You'll upset the girls. Look, this will be sorted. The courts will know that Max isn't a reliable man."

Amelia shook her head. "I don't think I can do this. I honestly can't," she mumbled. She felt the tears stinging her cheeks. "I hate him. I really do."

Tom smiled. He kissed her. "I won't let you down. I promise."

Amelia and Tom went into work. Amelia glared over at Max who stood there smirking. "I'm going to wipe that smirk off of his face!" She all but yelled.

Tom sighed and took her to one side. "Babe. Don't. You're only giving him what he wants. He wants to win. And you're letting him by kicking off," he told her.

"And what? Am I meant to let him get away with messing my life up? No chance. He's not getting away with this," Amelia said as she walked off inside.

Madison walked into her sister's classroom. She smiled. "Tom told me. Are you okay?" She asked as she looked to her.

Amelia shook her bead and sighed. "Max is trying to take Lillie from me. Why? Why is he such a jerk?" She asked as she looked to her sister.

"I wish I had an answer for you. I didn't know he was doing this. I wouldn't have let him," Madison said.

"I know. You're my sister. My best friend. And I know you wouldn't have let him. I just hate him how everything has become so messy," Amelia mumbled as she looked to her.

Madison smiled. She took her hand. "I'm on your side. I promise. Max won't win. I promise you," she said as she looked to her.

Amelia walked into the office. She looked to Max. "You think you're a big man don't you? Ruining my life. You're not getting away with this," she said.

Max smirked and winked. "But I will. Because I'm the respectable executive head. Who has 10 years exemplary service. So I think I will win," he told her.

Amelia turned and walked off. Unaware of just how her life was about to spiral more than she thought.
