Caleb's pov.

I could hear the sound of beeping. It was so irritating and I just wanted it to go away. The beeping sounded so close, like it was in my ear. I attempted to look around, but all I saw was black. I couldn't manage to open my eyes. I don't understand? Why is this happening? Am I dead? What happened?

I heard a female voice say "hello" and then I felt the side of my bed dip down. Someone was sitting next to me now, holding my hand. I'm assuming it was the female voice. But who is this voice? It sounds so familiar. Maybe my mother? No, sounds to young. Maybe my sister? No, I don't think so.

"I've read stories about how people can hear what you say, even if they are in a coma" I hear the voice say, she sounds very upset.

"Look..... I miss you. God I miss you so much. Please wake up Caleb, I need you in my life." The voice sounded like she was crying now. I don't understand. I'm in a coma? How? And this voice sounds like she really cares about me. I wonder who she is.

As I struggle to pry my eye lids open, I hear the beeping's speed increasing.

"Caleb?" The voice whispered in a confused tone. I could feel my eye lids start to open very slowly.

"Doctor!! Nurse! Someone come in here!!" The voice started frantically yelling. She hugged me tight and whispered, "please remember me" and then I couldn't hear her anymore. I assume she left.

"Please remember me."

Why wouldn't I remember this person? I mean, at the moment I don't remember the voice but I bet if I see them I will remember them. I tried to open my eyes one more time and finally succeeded.

I looked around the bright room and saw that A few doctors were now in the room, examining me and my condition.

"Hello Caleb." The doctor says.

"Hello. Why am I here?" I ask. This doctor looks annoyed with my question but tough shit.

"You were drunk driving and you crashed into an on coming vehicle. You are lucky you survived, unlike some people." The doctor looked down at his clipboard and said, "this isn't the first time you've drunk driven, is it?" He asked with an annoyed toned.

"No it's not." I say as I remember the other times this has happened.

"You caused a family to die the other night, are you aware of this?" The doctor asked.

"N-no. I wasn't a-aware" I said stuttering. I caused a family to die? I'm a terrible person. Oh my god.

"Well you did. It was a family of 3." He said. He walked over to my door an was about to walk out when he turned around and said, "you're under steady conditions and can go home whenever you like. Goodbye."

As I tried to stand up, I got a massive head ache and suddenly felt very dizzy. I grabbed my head in an attempt to stop the pain but I ended up falling over.

"Woah!" I heard a female voice say as they grabbed me by my shoulder just as I was falling over. It's not the same voice from earlier.

I turn to her and she looks so familiar. I remember vivid memories with her but I can't remember her name.

She looks at me and realizes I'm thinking of who she is. She sighs and looks at me with pleading eyes and says, "you don't remember me?" I can see the tears building up in her eyes.

I start to remember who she is and I give a half smile.

"Hello beautiful. How could I forget someone like you?"

"God Caleb, If I would have lost you I don't think I could have ever moved on." she says walking over to me and kissing me roughly on the lips. "Actually I think I could have moved on after like a month"

"Oh, I'm sorry for interrupting. I just wanted to see h-how you were doing Caleb. B-bye" I hear another voice say from the doorway. I look and see....
