~~~~~
You stared at your complexion in the mirror. A few days have passed since the whole incident, and so far, things have been going fine- Lucifer was acting creepy and quite manipulative, but overall, fine.
You were praying that things will go great, considering this was your wedding day. Funny how fast things go by, eh?
You fixed your top, looking down. You started thinking about Ebola. Was it really called for to leave her in the dust? It was kind of a stupid statement Lucifer made, but he's the lord of Hell- what's to do?
Suddenly, you heard a knock out the door. "Come in!" You called.
A imp servant, Harvil, limped into the room. His body was bruised and battered, and there were bags under his eyes. Your chest ached, feeling sorry for the poor guy.
"Y-your majesty... Lord Lucifer is waiting for you outside." Harvil panted, almost seeming like he was gonna puke.
"Oh... Right." You nodded. He simply gave a sad smile, and limped out as soon as he came in.
Sorry, Ebola.
--------------------------
You positioned your bouquet in the right place, and waited for Harvil to call your name. The wedding was taking place in his forbidden garden, where he first found you, and it honestly seemed pretty normal, save for the dead flowers.
"And so, here comes The King's Beloved, (Y/N)!" He announced, clearly nervous.
As soon as "Here Comes The Bride" came on, you walked on the petal-covered carpet, getting a good view of the area.
Charlie was sitting right behind your spot in a red gown, signifying that she was a bridesmaid. Razzle and Dazzle were behind Lucifer, holding now empty baskits. Lucifer was just glaring at you with a sinister smile.
You gulped, not entirely sure what to do. As soon as you got to your spot, you looked behind you to see Charlie, who was giving you a "I'm sorry" look. You then took a look at the crowd.
Katie Killjoy was recording for 666 News, and Tom Trench was a cameraman. All the overlords were in their chairs, with Rosie being the pianist, Alastor being the priest (haha irony), and Velvet being the ring bearer. The Eldritch Family, the goetial demons, and Vaggie were here too.
You then turned to your soon-to-be husband, Lucifer. He bared a lavish white tuxedo and a white top hat, as well as his creepy grin.
"Well, my dear Lucifer, never thought this day would come! I always figured you were happy being a single father." Alastor chuckled.
"I was, yes." He nodded. "But then I met the most wonderful demon in hell... four days ago."
You resisted the urge to roll your eyes. You almost forgot you met only a couple days ago.
"And I couldn't be any happier. I promise a life of love and glory for us both." He grinned, turning to you. "And you, my love?"
You started sweating. "Uh... I promise to be a good partner. Yeah."
He just raised your chin with his pointer finger. "That's all I needed to hear."
"Well then, any objections? Speak now, or forever hold your peace." Alastor called to the crowd.
There was an awkward silence between the guests.
"Well, jokes on you, I never get any peace!" A familiar voice was heard outside the garden. It was raspy and slightly deep- you immediately knew who it was.
She bursted from the bushes. Ebola.
You knew it was her. The matted black fur. The piercing green eyes. Her bony figure. How she morso resembled a worm.
"The sinner?! I thought she-" The lord started.
"Died? Lucifer, you are the lord of Hell. You should know we only die from angel weapons." The rat demon rolled her eyes, gaining a chuckle from the crowd.
"OH, HUSH, YOU!" He yelled.
It was then Vaggie step foot in front of her girlfriend, ready to defend her.
"Vaggie, babe, I can defend myself-" Charlie chuckled.
She sighed. "I know, but you are not getting hurt on my watch."
Ebola simply blinked at them before picking you up bridal style.
"Ebola?! What are you-"
"Hush. We will talk later." She sternly spat before scurying out of the garden.
The crowd was stunned in silence, which Alastor broke by awkwardly clearing his throat.
"Uh, Charlie, I have to go to... A meeting! Yes, a meeting. Farewell, demon bell!" He waved before disappearing in dark smoke.
"Uhm... Okay then?" Charlie questioned, with Vaggie sighing.
Once more, the crowd was drowning in silence.
"...Uh, can I leave-" Harvil asked.
"NO." Everyone warned.
-----------
Ebola ran for miles, you in hand. It wasn't until you reached a forest that she finally took a break and put you down.
"Phew, thanks Ebola! I was getting worried-" You started.
"WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?!" She suddenly screamed, making you finch.
"I- Uh-" You stampered, not knowing what to say.
"Alright, I'll be more exact- WHAT DID HE TELL YOU?!" The rat demon corrected.
"He, uh... Told me that you were gonna murder me, and told me he saved me from that." You awkwardly smiled, trying to ease the tension.
She stared at you like you were the biggest idiot in the world. "And you BELIEVED him?! For fuck's sake, (Y/N), I know you- you are NOT this stupid. Even a kiddo would see right through it!"
"Right... look, I'm sorry. I just thought that-" You apologized.
"What?! That it was a good idea to marry the fucking devil?! IS THAT WHAT YOU JUST THOUGHT?!" She yelled.
Your shoulders quivered and your eyes were starting to water. "I... I don't know..."
She then took a deep breath, her expression softening.
"Look, kiddo. Ever since we first met, I felt a huge urge to protect you. I mean, believe it or not, Hell's a scary place! And if you're too vulnerable, it'll snap ya right in half." She frowned, cupping your cheek.
"But... Why me? I'm clearly a dumbass." You asked.
"Because... I've fallen for you." She smiled, looking at you straight in the eye.
You looked at her in surprise, starry-eyed. She simply chuckled, patiently waiting for a response.
You took a pause. All the time you spent with her. The many misadventures. The forbidden garden incident. The rescue.
Yeah, you were in love.
"I... I love you too." You returned with a grin.
She simply smirked, grabbing you by the collar of your top and passionately kissing you. Now, she was not an amazing kisser by any means, and Hail Satan, did she stink, but you savored every minute regardless. In fact, you forgot how to breathe before she pulled away.
"Do not ever abandon me again. Promise?" She pleaded.
You nodded. "Promise."
It's enough
To make kings and vagabonds
Believe the very best...
