Pin's POV

Duke Pin Hawthorne was in the middle of a meeting, bored out of his damn mind. The mayor insisted he be there with her, despite the fact that he had more wedding things to attend to. This meeting was pointless, things they have already gone over this week and figured it all out!

The mayor kept going on and on. It was a never ending speech. There was a small squeak of a door then footsteps.

Pin felt something pull on his leg. The mayor stopped speaking and looked over at him annoyed. Then looked down and laughed. Pin followed her gaze and saw a little boy smiling up at him.

"Hi daddy!" Jason said happily.

"Hello Jace." Pin reached down and scooped him in his arms. The little boy giggled. Jace was almost five years old and was quite mischievous. Especially when he went to work with his dad.

"Sorry everyone, my son decided to join us."

"That's alright. Your Grace, the meeting was reaching its conclusion anyway. We will meet up again next month."

Everyone got up to leave but pin stayed in his seat. Jace looked at him. "Did I mess up your meeting?"

"No, kiddo! You saved me from it!" He tickled him causing the boy to laugh so carefree. Technically Jace wasn't his biological son, in fact he was his fiancé's little boy. But since he was nearly a year old Pin was in his life, helping to raise him and soon he would be his legally adopted son. Just like Faye was adopting Pin's biological daughter, Abigail.

"Mommy and Abby are with Auntie Gaby!" Jace said happily. "Aunt Mia is here, she brought me on the way to her baby appointment."

"That was very nice of Aunt Mia. Let's go say hello and wish her luck."

He carried him back into the main room. Mia sat in a chair near the front. She was six months pregnant and was finding out the sex of the baby soon.

"Thanks Mia, I appreciate you bringing him here." He set jace back on the ground and offered a hand to help her up.

"No worries, Faye asked me to. She said you two had a fun father son evening planned. Seems like fun."

"Taking this little guy shopping, we have to pick up last minute wedding supplies."

She smiled at that. "I remember doing that with Marcus," they had eloped but had a reception when they got back. "We had to get a whole new cake because the caterer screwed up the dates."

"It was a pretty cake though. You're heading to an appointment right? Do you need a lift?"

"I'm fine thank you, my taxi is still outside. We get to find out if it's a boy or girl today." She sounded excited.

"That's great, here I'll walk you out." He grabbed her bag and picked Jason up before either could protest.

The two adults chatted while they walked. About when her baby shower would be and if he was getting some wedding nerves or not.

He wasn't nervous, he was actually really excited. He never felt more sure of anything else in his life.

Mia went off to her appointment and the boys went to do their errands. Pin's job today was to pick up suits, check in with the caterer, and check on the flowers.

Him and his son got through all their errands, so Pin had a fun idea.

"How about we go for a ride? Sound like fun?"

The little boy started to jump up and down!

"I'm going to take that as a yes." Pin chuckled.

"Yes! Yes! Yes! Please!" Jace loved horse riding, he didn't have his own horse yet. They were waiting until he turned five, then they would get him one for his birthday. So for now, he rode with his parents or aunt. Mostly his dad though.
