Killua's POV

Fuck I felt so exhausted, I couldn't help but wonder how Gon could still move around without seeming tired in the slightest way. I tried to keep up with his paste so it didn't seem like I was weak, but damn was I was about to pass out.

After I finished my last pile upstairs I stood up and went to turn around, accidentally running into Gon's chest. "Shit- Gon? Why are you up here.?"

"Oh sorry Killua haha. I brought you some water up, I almost tripped on the way up here though. The hole list fell in too..so happy you didn't see that." He chuckled awkwardly and handed me the bottle of water.

I smiled at him and laughed. "That's weird because I almost tripped on it too. Luckily I had the handle to catch me."

"Same, guess we were lucky." Gon says while taking the trash bag full of cut up glass, paper, wood, nails, plenty of other disgusting things, and throwing it over his shoulder. We stare at each other for a second before we both look away.

Um..that was really awkward. "Gon..are you sure you should take that heavy thing back down stairs? If you almost tripped without that in your hand, you definitely will trip with it." I observed as he shrugged his shoulders.

"I'll be fine, see watch." He requested, taking one step down, then another, and another, soon getting all the way down with just little creeking sounds.
"See? I made it all in one piece." Gon says grinning and putting the bag down from his shoulder.

I start to walk down carefully, soon making it to the bottom and sighing. Swear I felt like I was going to fall. It's gotta because I haven't gotten sleep for a while, plus all this work on me sucks.
"Geez Gon..how do you not seem tired at all? Even your eyes are starting to look better."

He grabs the trash bag and throws it over his shoulder again. "I do this for a living, at this point I've gotten used to the hard work." He starts walking towards the front door, but stops to look back at me.

"I'm going to start throwing all the bags out now, you can sit down if you'd like. I noticed how exhausted you looked."
Gon says while smiling and turning back around again.

He saw through my non tired act. How embarrassing...and I thought I was doing a pretty good job.

A few more hours pass and the house looks way better then it did before. I get up and use the last bit of energy I have left to throw my fists up in the air In excitement. Gon just laughs and wipes his forehead. "Happy dance huh? I like it."

I roll my eyes playfully and cross my arms. "Anways, you did good today Gon, you can go home and sleep now."

"Oh trust me, I will. But what about you? You're going to walk home in the dark?" He asks while pulling out his phone and checking the time.

"That's what I usually do. Plus I was considering staying here for the night. To do some measurements on all of this stuff, to see what I need to get fixed, and to see what I have to get." I sigh while putting my hands in my pockets.

"Then I'll stay with you this night, so you don't have to be alone, you know? With the rats?" Gon responded, putting his phone back in his pocket and smiling.

"I've never met a handyman like you before Gon. Usually anytime someone says 'you can leave now' they head out with no discussion." I say a little bit curios on to why Gon won't just go home and sleep. He's been awake for so long, without a break. And his workers didn't even come back yet.

"Yeah haha, a lot of people say that. Everyone that ever hired me always rehires me again because of this exact reason. Guess I just like helping people out."
