The man in the bow tie- his name is The Doctor. That's about as much that you get from him, besides the whole "I'm not human" spiel. He's from a long gone planet called Gallifrey and he's a Time Lord. No one knows his real name, and he sure doesn't want anyone to know. Once the words "Doctor who?" pass your lips, he'll glare at you and say "Just The Doctor." If you're lucky, he won't say it through his teeth.
But the strangest thing is, I've seen him before. When I was a little girl, there was a forest behind my house. I'd go there to play near the small stream that ran through it. One day, I slipped off the log bridge into the stream. I began screaming and yelling because I couldn't swim. And the water was pulling me. Then, like a miracle, he came. With one swoop, he lifted my sopping wet body out of the stream and placed me on the ground near it. I was crying and holding my nose, because I had hit it on the log on the way down. He came over, crouched down and patted my shoulder. He whispered in my ear, "It's going to be okay, Cassidy." and with that he was gone. But he left me with something- the most beautiful sound I had ever heard. It was the sound of his ship.
The sound of the universe.
Lucky for me, I now get to hear this sound every day since The Doctor picked me up in London that day. Here he was now, prattling on about the sixtieth moon of Orcon that just so happens to be a cleverly disguised hologram created by the fifty ninth moon of Orcon because they don't believe in odd numbers. I chuckled at him and he grinned.
"I actually have an idea. How about Domum? It's coordinates aren't from here, and plus, it's like an interstellar melting pot! People of all ages, genders and races! Would you like to go?"
I shrugged and smiled. He'd been cooped up in the TARDIS since I came aboard, so he was itching to go to a planet, or the future, or the past. A different idea each day. I decided to let him have this one.
"Sure. Off to Domum!"
