I was lost in thought, contemplating my cup of coffee that had been steaming for almost half an hour.It must have been cold by now.It was a waste. I hadn't even touched it yet.

Jungkook. Over and over again. He haunted me.

And that scar, the one that adorned my heart, my mind, and my whole being. It had stopped growing a while ago, but it hadn't closed. It still hurt.

My days and nights had become a source of constant anguish.I felt as if my whole soul was lacerated when I woke up. I saw Jungkook. The images of that night kept running through my head.

When everything around me became silent, and the night did its job of making the world a little darker than it already was, I could hear the ambulance sirens.I could hear the rain pounding on the concrete floor. I could hear the fuzzy conversations of the people around me.I could hear Jin and Namjoon crying. Then I could hear myself shouting the name of the one I had lost.

When I closed my eyes, all I could see was the blood, his blood, covering my trembling hands. Then I saw him, pale, motionless. Dead. When I took a deep breath to calm my ragged breathing, during what I called my crying spells, I felt nothingI could only smell her.

Everything, absolutely everything, brought me back to him. Always, anytime, anything.I could see him through everything around me. Yeontan, Jungkook's brown hair, and that feeling I missed so much. The feeling of my fingers pulling at his soft hair.I couldn't stand it any longer. If I was doomed to live like this for the rest of my life, then living wasn't what I wanted.I refused to fight any longer in the hope of regaining what had been so brutally taken from me.

After all, there was nothing to stop me. Nothing.

The bottle my parents had brought me the day before, thinking it would be enough to ease the pain, was still full.

Seokjin and Namjoon were supposed to arrive in two hours, not before. After two weeks, I understood their routine.Every day, around nine o'clock, they would come to the house. They would knock on the door, I would let them in. They spent time with me, trying to take my mind off things, again and again. They only talked to me about superfluous things. And I only half listened to them. Then they would leave, telling me they would come back the next day, even though I didn't need them to tell me.I already knew that.

Two hours. That should give the drugs time to work.

I walked to the bathroom, staring into space like I always did.

I couldn't take it anymore.

I took a glass of water and filled it. Then I grabbed the bottle and opened it.

I'm in pain.

I took the first few pills in my hand.

Way too much pain.

I put them in my mouth and swallowed them with a sip of water.
