"Nobody's playing this game properly. We're meant to get rid of the people with the worst secrets," Matthew says.

"That's easy for you to say: you haven't seen anyone's secret yet," Jungkook says, "Sometimes your gut and your emotions make the decision for you."

I hum and nod at this, remembering how I felt when I saw Yoongi's secret.

"The most important thing is surviving, not playing the way they want us to," Hoseok adds, his tone of voice flat and cold.

He's right, but I didn't think anyone would say that out loud.

"I doubt the people running this really care about if we perfectly follow the rules anyway," Yoongi says, "After all, if we assume that they're doing this to analyse our behaviour, then breaking the rules a little would be a part of that."

"Makes sense," I say, nodding.

We all go quiet for a moment. Then John says, "If you guys get the chance to meet whoever's behind this, what will you do?"

"I'll beat the shit out of them," Jungkook immediately says.

Yoongi sighs and shakes his head. "What a waste. You'll survive all of this only to fight them and get killed at the end?"

"But still..." Jungkook says, "I really want to make them pay somehow."

"I get you're all for justice but that just won't work."

Jungkook hums and looks away from him. Deep down, he knows he's right.

"What can you do if you get to meet them?" I ask.

"Nothing," Jimin says, "There's nothing you can do. One, because they clearly have a lot of power over us, and two, because we're all going to die before that even happens."

"Damn... you're such a negative person," John says.

"Well what do you expect? Me to be all happy and positive after the person I loved died in front of my eyes? Of course that's not gonna happen."
