I unlock the front door noticing mother passed out on the couch. I usher over to her, settling a blanket over her body. I walk into the kitchen opening the freezer as my eyes are automatically drawn to the rib-eye steaks. I seize a pan from the cupboard placing it onto the stove, showering butter spray onto it. Simultaneously, as the steaks are done grilling I hear a cough from behind me. I turn around to see mother looking at me with tired eyes.
She gradually sighs before speaking, ¨You didn't have to cook Aurelia, I could've done it myself.¨
¨I know, but seeing as you were already asleep, I didn't want to wake you.¨
Her lips form into a thin line, knowing that I'm not going to let her finish the cooking. All she does is nod and walk back to the living room.
I hear the rice cooker go off gesturing that dinner is ready. After making mother and I's plates, I enter the living room placing her food in front of her. I sit on the loveseat beside the sofa and dig into my meal.

I walk into my bedroom discarding my clothes and walk to my bathroom. I brush my hair out, an idiosyncrasy I adapted from a young age, and get into the shower. I let out a deep sigh feeling relaxed as I am engulfed in the steam of the water. I lather myself in my rosewater body wash thinking about what would happen when I attend school. I rinse off, now scrubbing my vanilla-scented shampoo and conditioner into my hair trying to think positive thoughts. I wash everything out of my hair, stepping out of the shower. I dry myself and get dressed in my pajamas.
I lay in my bed thinking about the events that happened earlier today. I smile remembering how amiable Theo had been. He might be the only reason why I'm looking forward to Hogwarts. I switch the lamp off on the nightstand beside my bed and snuggle into my blankets. After a while, I fall asleep with a smile on my face.

Hey Everyone!!! I know that these chapters are really short but I have a lot going on right now. As the story progresses the chapters will eventually get longer.
