Papi came home from a work trip today.  He brought me back this blank book.  "What am I supposed to do with this," I asked him.  "Write in it, mi quedro," he answered.  For my 16 year old sister Maria he brought a beautiful necklace.  I asked if she wanted to trade me and she called for Mami.  She can be such el tattletale.  For Evelyn at 7 years, he brought a cloth doll.  I asked if she would trade me and she looked at you.  "I can't abrazar it," she said.  That's well.  Between you and me I would have MUCH preferred the necklace.  Maybe I can ask Maria if I can look at it sometimes.  Maybe, even touch it.  While we're at it, I can ask Papi yet again if I can get my ears perforodo.  More tomorrow.  My hand is tired.  Papi, if you're reading this next time you travel for work, bring me back a presente that I can actually use.
