The Unexpected

Chapter 7

Alison's POV

"It's fine, it was my fault." A familiar voice said.

I finally looked up and my heart stopped.

"Jordan"

"Jordan." I said almost whispering not believing my eyes.

"Alison?" She looked just as surprised as me. I cleared my throat awkwardly.

"Um, yeah anyways sorry. " I said hurriedly, trying to walk past her.

"Wait!" I felt her hand on my arm. "Maybe we should catch up sometime." She said almost like a question.

"Uh, yeah sure. Maybe" I said trying to avoid eye contact with her.

"I'll see you later then?" She asked

"Maybe." I repeated, looking back up to her only to see her wink at me on her way out.

"Why me?" I whispered to myself.

Emily's POV

I stood there dumbfounded for a minute before Lauren finally broke me out of my trance.

"Emily!" She yelled snapping her fingers in front of my face.

"What just happened?" I asked her coming back to my senses.

"I don't know I just got here." She said "All I saw was Ali leaving. What happened?"

"Come on." I said grabbing her arm causing her to drop the drinks.

"Hey! Where are we going?" She questioned

"Going to look for Ali." I said. We walked through the crowds of people to the exit Ali walked out of. I started jogging down the street looking for her.

I was about to give up when I saw a flash of blonde hair get into a cab.

"Alison!!" I yelled but she closed the door already.

"UGH!" I groaned.

"Emily! Will you tell me what happened yet??" Lauren said not trying to hide her annoyance. I sighed, not sure how to start.

"Me and Ali kissed and then she ran away." I said simply.

"...oh" she said.

"Yeah, oh. But not we need to find her and I just saw her get into a taxi." I said

"Okay she probably got scared because se hasn't been with anyone since Jordan and it's pretty much new to her. " Lauren said "But we need to find her before she does anything stupid... she tends to do that a lot."

"Where do you think she would go?" I asked her

"Um, she doesn't really know where we are and we haven't eaten anything all day so she probably went back to campus to get something to eat." Lauren suggested. We got into her car and started heading back.

When Lauren and I got back to the dorm, the most melodic beautiful voice filled out ears.

-I need to take back the light inside you stole. You're a criminal. And you steal like your a pro.

All the pain, and the truth
I wear like a battle wound
So ashamed so confused
I was broken and bruised

But now I'm a warrior
Now I've got thicker skin

And my armour
