The Unexpected

Chapter 8

I'm going to start making this story in 3rd person. I just think it's a little easier and maybe less confusing.

"Ali wait I'm sorry! I just didn't know how to tell you." Jordan said running after Ali.

"No Jordan, don't even try to explain. I know what I saw. I can't believe I ever trusted you. I loved you Jordan. We're done. I don't ever want to see you again. Just stay away from me." Ali said, heartbroken over what she just saw.

"You don't mean that. We both know that what we have is the best thing that ever happened to us."

"Had," Ali corrected her harshly. Stopping to look her in the face menacingly "You are so full of shit Jordan. Just stop, I don't care about you anymore."

"Fine, whatever." Jordan snickered. "You were always just a phase anyways."
Ali was taken aback by what Jordan had said. She knew she didn't care for her anymore after what she just saw, but she never expected Jordan to say something like that.

Jordan looked amused. A smirk forming on her face as she spat the next words.

"Yeah, that's right Ali. I may have felt something for you at the beginning, but that's long gone now... now that I think about it, it has been gone for a while."

"I don't care. I don't care what you say or think, I don't care what you feel. I don;t care about you! I never want to see you again!" Tears were streaming down Ali's face as she ran away from the brunette.

Emily went in and out of shops and restaurants giving the managers her resumé hoping to get at least a part time job.

She came up to a cafe that reminded her slightly of the brew in Rosewood, and smiled ay the memory. She made a mental not to contact her friends soon to catch up.

As she went in, she saw Ali reading on the lounge. Emily smiled to herself and was about to make her way over until she saw another girl walk up to her.

She was a beautiful brunette and Emily couldn't help but feel jealous.

Realizing she had been staring too long, she ordered a coffee and gave the manager her resume and sat at a table near Alison without her knowing.

Call me creepy but I just want to know if I have a chance against that girl, Emily thought.

"-I've been well. I'm actually out now so everyone knows I'm gay." that girl said.

"That's... great." Ali said unenthusiastically. Not looking at the taller girl.

"Why are you here Jordan?" Ali said, finally looking up to look at her.

Jordan. Why does that name sound familiar? Emily thought to herself.

"I miss you Ali," Jordan started, " I didn't mean any of the things I said to you before. I was just angry. I would never treat you like that again. I was in a bad place then, but now I'm taking medication regularly and I would never treat you like that again. I promise." She looked genuine

That's when it clicked. Jordan is Ali's bitch ex girlfriend. Emily just realized. She suddenly became protective over Ali and was ready to do anything if she needed to.

"Jordan please stop." Ali warned "I can't do this right now. I'm sorry but I've moved on. And what you said really hurt me Jordan. I don't think I can get over what you did." Ali said.

"I know I messed up Ali, but I think we can make it work now if we try. I've really changed. If you could at least let me prove that to you." Jordan was practically pleading.

"You don't get it Jordan. This has happened too many times with you. I've given you so many chances." Ali sighed "I can't get hurt again. I'm sorry. I think you should go." Ali said sadly, not making eye contact with her.

Jordan sighed in defeat. "I won't give up on you Ali." she said getting up, "I love you too much." and with that, she left.

Ali let out a shaky breath, then got up and left as well.

Well that was intense. Emily thought.

HELLOO!! Sorry it is pretty short but it leads up to many events later! I haven't updated very much because I've been so busy with track and school. I only have 2 and a half more weeks left until summer!! So I don't think I am going to update again until break. At least there's something until then.
