Chapter 19

Hey boss, how is he?" Lay rushes towards Chanyeol coming down the stairs seeing a look in his boss's eyes he has never seen before.

" He is asleep now, I need a drink" Chanyeol makes his way over to the kitchen as Kai appears passing him a glass with a whiskey inside it.

Sipping the drink he takes a seat at the island in the middle of the kitchen. Placing the glass down on the countertop he leans his head into his hands.

"We need to kill these bastards before someone dies"Chanyeol nearly growls the words out making Kai smile a little knowing his boss just needs one more push before he reigns hell down on whoever came after him tonight.

"Boss this hit wasn't Xiaojun. This is someone else. It was too messy. You made it out of the house with baek with one gun shot wound"

" What are you trying to say Kai that I wouldn't have been able to get Baekhyun out of the house if it had of been Xiaojun"

" No boss....."

"Kai just leave me alone for a few minutes will ya" Chanyeol finishes his drink as Kai leaves the room knowing his boss/ best friend is going to snap soon. Holding onto his head with his hand again Chanyeol closes his eyes and the horror he saw in Baekhyun's eyes he can see over and over again. How the little beauty was leaning against the wall outside the house, his heart racing in his chest looking terrified up at him.

He doesn't know how to comfort anyone so the hug is all he could manage to help Baekhyun calm and rest.

"Boss sorry to disturb you but I have to head to the club it's opening soon. I need to check over the place with Mark and make sure nothing has happened"

" Thanks Lay, but I'm coming with " Chanyeol stands up from his chair and makes his way out of the kitchen and into the sitting room.

"Your one fucking prick you know that" D.O says with pure rage as he walks closer to his boss.

"Baek doesn't deserve this. All he did was show up to your club and you pounced on him. He is not one of your play things Chanyeol. Baekhyun actually has standards and deserves respect"

Rolling his eyes and taking a deep breath "If I remember correctly you brought him to the club" Chanyeol stares back as D.O launches at him punching him across the face .

" I hope they kill you " D.O screams with pure rage as Kai pulls him away from their boss.

"Rather they kill me then baek" Chanyeol says with a low tone.

"I hope nobody will die " a soft angelic voice speaks from the doorway of the sitting room.

" Baek" D.O pulls free from Kai's embrace and rushes to his friend hugging him 

"I'm ok, don't worry D.O Chanyeol made sure of that " Baekhyun hugs D.O while looking over his shoulder towards Chanyeol .

" I'm heading to the club " Chanyeol says leaving the room and out the front door with Lay waiting for him in the car .

"Chanyeol " Baekhyun calls after him making the taller stop and turn around seeing Baekhyun standing at the front door hugging himself .

" Yeah" Chanyeol looks up the steps as Baekhyun moves closer to him, stopping on a step closer to the boss.

"Do you have to go?" Baekhyun whispers almost shy like making Chanyeol lower his head a little knowing he can't fall for the smaller no matter how much he wants to.

" Yeah I have a bit to do at the club you will be fine here with your friends and D.O" Chanyeol turns to move away still he feels a small hand pull him back .
