Chapter 22

Waking up, Chanyeol softly smiles as he looks to his left seeing Baekhyun all snuggled under a blanket making soft puppy sounds. Chanyeol finds himself reaching across his hand to move some hair from the smaller forehead. " You have me wrapped around that little finger of yours" he whispers before sliding out of the bed as not to wake the beauty. Pulling on a hoodie and trousers he heads out to the kitchen and is surprised to see Lay sitting at the kitchen island sipping some hot drink.

" Bit early for you Lay what's up?" Chanyeol walks to the cupboard pulling out a cup for himself as he pours out some hot black coffee.

" I wanted to make sure Baekhyun was, ok?" Lay smirks as he reads the newspaper

"He is fine so tell me why you are really here and not in bed with you partner?" Chanyeol sits on a stool across from him and takes away the newspaper.

" I honestly wanted to make sure he was ok. He has seen so much Boss and especially last night"

"If you are so worried you can watch over him while I head out this morning" Chanyeol passes back the newspaper as he makes his way to his walk-in wardrobe to get dressed.

" Oh hell no you can't do this to him Yeol he is a human being not like the others" Lay bursts in the door not caring that Chanyeol is now naked.

" I need to see someone, and I will be back asap so just look over him till I get back I'll be a half hour tops"

" You need to decide what you want Chanyeol and do it fast Baekhyun doesn't deserve this" Lay huffs as he takes a seat near a wardrobe.

"He knows where I stand with him" Chanyeol says as he pulls on some new jeans

" How can he you blow hot and cold with him that many times in an hour it's hard to keep up. You're stringing that poor innocent human being with the biggest heart I have ever seen along for the ride and it's not fair. Either decided or let him go for good" Lay stands up as the sleeping beauty steps into the room.

" Morning is everything ok?" Baekhyun asks as he shyly looks at the two who have stopped shouting.

" I need to pop out for about an hour max. Lay will stay with you till I get back" Chanyeol finishes off getting dressed as he moves closer and kisses Baekhyun's cheek. " I won't be long " he leaves the penthouse and heads down to his car leaving two very confused people in his wake.

In town

" Bad night?" Chanyeol smiles noticing that voice as he leans over the railing looking into the pond at the ducks.

" Yeah, so many lately" Chanyeol turns to see his old number 4 smiling at him.

" Why are you here Chanyeol?"

"It's a public park, I am allowed be here" he says playfully as his number 4 takes a seat on the nearest bench making Chanyeol follow

" You know I come here in the morning before work and sit in this exact spot so spill what is going on?" Taking a sip of his coffee no 4 watches as Chanyeol stays quiet not knowing how or where to start.

" I guess I needed some advice"

"Since when " the smaller laughs making Chanyeol turn and look at him with a soft smile.

"I'm human too" Chanyeol stands back up again and walks closer to the edge looking back into the pond.

" I know your human we dated remember" the smaller stands beside Chanyeol hoping he says what is going on.

"Then you left me" Chanyeol says with a smirk making the smaller smile back " Yeah for good reason"

" I know baby" Chanyeol says before letting out a sigh.
