"Ex fiancé?"

"Yea, emphasis on the ex part," I mumbled, stuffing my hands in my pockets.

"I don't have time for this. Kenny can we go," Alison looked at him with sad eyes. He looked at her and kissed her forehead. "Sure," he said before turning to Skylar. Alison had walked off. "Skylar, we should hang, you know like old times." He smirked, running his finger alongside her face. I watched as she flinched, turning her head.

He laughed, walking out the gallery.

"You were engaged?" Skylar looked at me with narrow eyes as he closed the door to the gallery behind him. I cornered her against the wall and stared back her. She was so beautiful and the fact that she had an attitude only made me more attracted to her.

"I like my woman with an attitude," I smirked, caressing her cheek with my thumb.

"Don't be cute. She's pretty. What happened?"

"Doesn't matter. She's with your friend now."

Hearing that gave me chills. "He's not my friend."

I tilted my head slightly, clenching my jaw muscles. "Oh, well who is he? Cause the way he was looking at you had me feeling some kind of way." The way she looked away let me know it was something way deeper than she was letting on.

"He's nobody. We should get back downstairs before it starts," she said, trying to push past me. I grabbed her by the waist. "It can wait. I want to know what's on your mind?" I gently kissed the back of her neck.

I felt her breathing get heavy and I knew I was going to get my way. "C-Chase, what are you doing?"

"I just want you to be open with me."

She shook her head, removing herself from my grasp. "Well I can't do that." She ran out the room, fumbling with the door. I was right behind her.

"What's the matter?"

"Don't touch me." Skylar knocked Chance hand off her. He stepped as if he was going to hit her.

"Chance," I warned, grabbing his hand. He pushed me.

"You defending the help over your brother," he laughed, shaking his head.

"Careful," I glared at him.

"Tuh, you would defend the black bi-."

Before he could finish his sentence, my fist connected with his face. We tussled, pushing each other into the walls. I swung again, hitting him in the side. He got low and rushed me into the railing. We knocked over a vase, causing it to fall over the balcony onto a table downstairs.

"Oh my god!"

"Get off each other!" I heard my father yell as he broke us up. I stared at my brother, contemplating hitting him again. My chest heaved in and out as my heart rate increased. "What in the hell."

"He hit me."

"It's a lot more where that comes from. You want to find out?"

"Both of you stop! I don't give a shxt who hit who first."

I ran my tongue across my bottom lip, tasting blood. Amy handed me a tissue, grabbing my face. I pulled away from her, loosening my tie. "I'm fine." I mugged my brother, walking off. I had enough of this family reunion.
