The hogwarts express

We finally arrive at kings cross. I climb out of the car. My heart beats a little fast. Am i nervous? why? anyways it's not important. I take my backpack and slouch it over my shoulder and Rania does the same. We make our way to platform 9 3/4, Her dad following closely behind with our suitcases. Besides the loud cries of parents leaving their first years for the longest time they've ever left them, it was quite exiting. I wait in front of the entry of the train, Rania bids goodbye to her father and i wave back at him. We make our way inside the express, finding a suitable compartment for us. We run into a lot of mutual friends, mostly Rania's. (Hey me🤪) She has quite a lot but, i'm just guessing it's because she's a hufflepuff and they tend to be very sociable. I have many friends but, the rest of the houses don't particularly like slytherins. Ravenclaws don't hide their dislike, some gryffindors don't mind us but most of them loathe us. Whereas Hufflepuffs don't really say much. Which is suprising given our differences, but i'm guessing Ranias partially responsible for that. She has alliances with people from both houses.

After around 2 minutes of looking around i see theo, trying to flirt up a girl. I laugh and roll my eyes and he quickly looks up at me. Visibly embarrassed because his attempt failed.

- she was just acting, she likes me

- sure theo, whatever makes you feel better

- Hey Riddle, it's been a bit »

- it has hasn't it »

« Oh hey Lupin » he says to my short annoying hufflepuff friend

« hey Theo, You havent happened to have seen Willa or Aimee have you? »

« nope. Best of luck though »

« thanks? » she says suspiciously. She waved goodbye to me and gives me a warm smile. kinda want to slap it off.

Theo and i make our way to the rest of the group. I bump into the twins and give them a small smile.

« Hey Riddle, fancy seeing you here? »

« it's the hogwarts express guys, i'm here every year? what have you had to drink? »

« nothing important, anyways, we were wondering if you would want to test out our viper serum? »

« i should know better than to accept testing out your products guys, but thanks »

they huff in annoyance and wave goodbye.

« at least we tried »

I laugh slightly and continue making our way to the group. And then, once again i run into a very flustered Cedric diggory.

Hufflepuffs pride and glory, cedric Amos diggory. I find him quite stuck up in the arse and self centered, but many people seem to have a liking for him. Especially my best friend, Rania lupin. She's had a crush on him for how many hairs dumbledore has on his beard. In conclusion, very many. I honestly thinks she deserves better but, you don't choose who your heart desires. Cringe.

« um hi, have you seen lupin? »

« who? The professor or my friend »

« friend. I wanted to chat with her for the quidditch team. »

« she went that way » i gestured him to the opposite way i saw her leave. Idiot. He's so gullible.

I see my group of friends and take a seat next to Pansy. one of my best friends.

« haven't seen you in awhile Riddle »

« you know that's not my name parkinson » i snap at her.

« oh come on Hannah. We all know your mother and his father are having an affair » pansy gestures to mattheo. A fourth year slytherin. A good friend of Lorenzo and Theo.

In all honesty, i find him attractive, very attractive. He has this kind of energy around him that makes you want to get to know him. Ive known him for as long as i've been to this school. I'm pretty sure he hates me. I mean we both hate each other. But sometimes, i feel this tension we have. I'm uncretain about how he feels about me. One minute he's smiling to himself after i managed to shut him up. But the other, he's furious and mentally hits me in the face. He's confusing to say the least, but when is he not.

After about 20 minutes, the express comes to a start. Here we go.
