Christmas was coming. One morning in mid-December, Hogwarts woke to find itself covered in several feet of snow. The lake froze solid and the Weasley twins were punished for bewitching several snowballs so that they followed Quirrell around, bouncing off the back of his turban. That got you to smile. The few owls that managed to battle their way through the stormy sky to deliver mail had to be nursed back to health by Hagrid before they could fly off again. Sebastian stayed at Hogwarts the whole month and if you tried to send him, he would bite you. So, you settled for one of Hogwarts's owls.

You were sitting in the Ravenclaw common room, reading a book when you caught sight of Aiden and Raven leaving the common room. You called their names and they stopped.

"Where are you two going?" You asked, walking up to them.

"The library," Raven said while Aiden impatiently tapped his foot.

"Well, can I come?" You asked but before Raven could say anything Aiden answered.

"No, you should go hang out with your friends."

"...I thought we were friends." You said, wondering what you did wrong.

"Doesn't seem like it." Aiden scoffed but you could find a hint of sadness and (...wait, was it jealousy?) in his tone.

Before you could say another word, he grabbed Raven's hand and left. You stood in the doorway to the common room for some time before returning the book you had to the shelves and went to your room.

You sat on your bed and started petting Stripey.

'Maybe I shouldn't help them find out about Nicolas. They would find out about it anyways. I should probably apologize to Raven and Aiden. I shouldn't have ignored them....'

"Meow!" You looked at Stripey and she was now sitting on your desk. You didn't even realize she had left. You stood up and walked towards the desk. There was a paper and quill on the desk.

"I am not good with words... Maybe I should write them an apology letter?" You asked no one in particular.

"Meow." Stripey looked at you as if she was saying yes. She understood what you said? Was she half-Kneazle?

You sat down on the chair and dipped your quill in ink but you never started writing. What even were you supposed to write?

You sighed and look at your cat, who was now taking a nap. Maybe if she were a human, she could help you.

Then you finally grabbed your quill again and started writing. Hopefully, the apology would sound genuine.

I would like to apologize for ignoring you as it was not done intentionally. I know I have made a mistake and I am genuinely sorry for my action. You two are very close friends to me. Closer than Harry or Hermione. I don't want to break our bond due to this reason. I know this might not seem genuine since it's just writing on paper. But I am not good with talking. I have never really had friends before. I should have realized I was ignoring you. I hope you will understand and accept my apology for this.

'Seems good enough.'

"What do you think?" You asked your cat not caring how weird you would have looked if someone walked in. She lazily eyed your paper before meowing and going back to sleep.

'Now I just have to hope Sebastian agrees.'

Later that day, you were sitting under a tree near the great lake. It was really cold. You shivered a bit before hugging your coat and using your quirk to warm up. Some people were throwing snowballs at each other a few steps away. You eyed them, wondering if they were immune to the cold.
