you turned off your phone and placed it on your nightstand next to your bed. after a while you stood up and got ready. 

you decided on a comfortable outfit. just sweats and a hoodie. 

you took your stuff, some snacks and a blanket. ' just in case'

the walk to the park took you about 5 minutes. when you arrived you already saw miya sitting on one of the benches under one of the big trees in the park.

''hey''

you smiled at him.

it was just one day you weren't together but you missed him ofc.

when he stood up and made his way to you he connected his eyes with yours and gave you a soft smile.

''have you been waiting here long?'' you asked him.

he took the blanket you bring ''no, I just arrived''

you took his hand and went to pick up a spot on the grass you could lay at.

you both spread the blanket on the grass and laid next to each other.

''I'm really happy we can be together today'' he said turning his head slowly to look at you.

your eyes were fixated on the stars '' yeah, me too''

the stars were so beautiful that night.

it wasn't even that cold that evening, even though it's already fall.

miya reached the bag he took and started to take out the snacks. 

'' aren't you cold?''

you turned over '' no, not really''

he smiled at you and handed you the drinks.

''thanks''

you were just chatting about everything that evening like you always do.

it was really nice.

'' one day'' miya started '' we should watch this from some high rooftop, it would be nice''

you looked at him and smiled.

'' yeah, we should''

the evening was just you and him chatting, watching stars, and snacking.

some pieces of your conversation just got to your mind and stayed there. just special moments.

normally, it won't be anything special if it was a different person.

but it was with him and that's what matters.

you enjoyed every moment.

'' you look so pretty today''

it surprised you.

'' you think? not my best day today haha''

he leaned closer to you and put some of your hair behind your ear.

'' you always do''

today I was with miya. it was awesome. 

I love how I just don't feel empty when I'm with him.

I feel full of life and that's all that I'm asking for.

he's my night sky where I can shine.
