The roads shimmered in the heat of the midday sun. The sunlit buildings of Paris pierced the hot, blue sky. It was a beautiful day and Camille was on her tracks to visit the Sacre-Coeur. She pulled out her cell phone and scrolled through her Instagram feed. She grinned and put back her phone in her pocket.
She walked up the stairs steadily and looked around the place. The field was packed with people relaxing on the grounds. A few minutes later, she reached the top. Once again, she pulled out her phone and took a few photos. Camille glanced at the view from below and sighed it was magical.
As she was preoccupied staring at the beauty of the landmark, a dog came nuzzling its head against her leg. She looked down and beamed. "Bonjour petit chiot. Es-tu perdu?" she questioned, glancing down at the puppy and pet its head softly. "Putain Ouba… reviens!" a familiar voice said from a distance.
Camille looked up and saw Pierre looking frustrated as he came up to her with a leash in his hands. He stopped in his tracks and suddenly lost for words. "Camille?" he questioned, surprised.
"Pierre? What are you doing here?" she asked, perplexed.
"I was walking my dog and I was astonished to see you here. What are you doing here?" he wondered, beaming at her tenderly.
"I'm taking a little tour around the neighborhood. You know, exploring the heart of Paris. "Would you like to give me a tour?" she pondered smiling at him.
"I'd love to." he smiled and began to move down the stairs with his dog. "Alors, où veux- tu me prendre?" she asked, turning to him happily. "Eh bien, y'a un musée autour ce quartier. Tu veux y aller la?" Pierre asked courteously, sauntering past the cafes and restaurants serenely.
"Sur." she said as they marched calmly on the sidewalk. They sauntered past the cemeteries and La Maison Rose and the museum was located behind the Moulin Rouge. "Et le musée est de l'autre côté de ce bâtiment. Nous sommes arrivées." He smiled as they stopped in their tracks and admired the building before them joyfully.
"Wow, it's huge!" she exclaimed enthusiastically, glancing at the building in awe. "Yes, it is. Let's have a look inside shall we?" Pierre insisted on pulling the door open and made their way into the place. The museum was lovely. There were a lot of magnificent paintings and sculptures in the room.
"J'aime bien ce tableau. Je pense que c'est magnifique." she smiled as she looked at a painting of a flower enthralled.
"Moi aussi… c'est tellement beau." He grinned, staring at the painting as well.
She glanced at her watch and the time read 4pm. "J'ai faim… je n'ai rien mangé depuis ce matin." she admitted as her stomach began to growl in hunger.
"Où devrions-nous manger? Je connais un bon restaurant." Pierre said as he offered her lunch with him. "Ok, c'est parti…" she grinned as they left the place and went to the nearest restaurant in Montmartre at the same time.

"Excuse me… How many hours until the next flight to Paris is available?" Elias asked the stewardess who was on duty.
"Let's see… I'm sorry it's not available until the next morning sir. You need to be persistent. The aircraft has a few technical issues that need to be done." The woman said honestly as she was preparing to make another announcement.
Elias sighed and sat back in his seat hoping to fly before sunrise. "Attention passengers, flight AF6348 to Lyòn, France is now ready for boarding, please approach Gate B for departure. Thank you…" the woman said in a genteel voice.
She glanced at Elias and gave him a pout. "I'm sorry." she mouthed as she went back to work. He sighed and tried another solution to get to Paris before his big day.
