"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

The door was slammed shut as it created echoes in the lonely mansion while the impact made the light bulb circle over her like a vulture, creating uneven lighting in the room as it revolved. The walls and ceilings were tainted with dried blood and some broken lighting equipment.

She continued with her work inside the enclosed space she was given but she liked it better when the lights were shut, she couldn't concentrate when they were on since she could see the man with her face her with horrified eyes.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS IN THAT ROOM?!?!"

She wouldn't be astonished if the new guy was surprised or should I say- shocked. She looked scary enough to be placed in a haunted house. Wait, didn't she live in one?

"Poor man" the girl muttered to herself in a monotone voice. "I hope I didn't scare his soul out of his body"

Did she just worry about him?

Wow.

That was new.

"DON'T YOU DARE INSULT MY LITTLE SISTER!"

The swordsman must've said something about the girl in the room that made a woman outside scream at him. What he said she didn't have any clue because she must've spaced out again.

"hhhnngggHHhhh"

"Hush now dear one" she softly spoke as she placed her icy fingers above the man's lips while a smile crept her own lips, sending chills down the man's spine. His head was lying on her lap and he was terrified of the mad woman in front of him.

"Everything will be over soon" she coaxed with a soothing feel in her words and eyes but deep down, it was all an illusion.

She forcefully covered his mouth as she continued sewing on his flesh, the thread slithering in and out with the assistance of her bloody needle.

She paused and glanced at the poor man. Beads of sweat drooped all over him as she cuddled his right cheek. "Should I inject you with it again?"

He hastily shook his head which seared pain all over his body again as he tried to scream again, only to be muffled by her hand.

"Sssshh now" she whispered, her pointer finger placed on her lips. "We've gotten this far"

She flipped a syringe out of her pocket and stabbed the man on his arm, making him lose consciousness all over again.

Well, in a way he'll never wake up again in a few more moments before he'll finally leave the world.

She needed him half-alive so his abilities will be harnessed in the puppet. After that, his soul can watch his body from afar, controlled by nobody else but her.

"WHY THE BLOODY HELL IS THERE A CORPSE WITH HER THEN?"

She almost forgot the moss-headed swordsman was just outside her room, arguing with the ghostly lady but she dismissed the thought and added the finishing touch to the man next to her.

"That corpse you speak of is still alive"

A new voice spoke outside. It was deep and you would think that it belonged to someone creepy or fearsome but the girl knows it was just that famous golden-eyed man who owned the place.

"Ahhhh~" she spoke with another smile that nobody saw but her and her victims. She cradled the man in her arms as she lifted it high by holding him on his shoulders.

Just as expected, he... no, he can no longer be considered as a he.

Just as expected, it wasn't heavy and it would be easy to manipulate just like the others.

"Just another masterpiece huh?" she asked herself.

She grabbed the brush and dipped it in the blank ink bottle as she scribbled something on the right side of its neck. Content of her art, she suspended her puppet with the others.

"That woman is INSANE!"

The triumphant smile on her pale face turned upside-down. The moss-head was referring to her, wasn't he?

Wait a sec...

Why was she affected all of a sudden?

She is insane.

Why was she concerned with that moss-head swordsman's statement?

She ran her fingers over her silky charcoal-colored hair and placed her hand over her forehead.

"Why am I acting like this?"

She processed for an answer.

"This is not like me"

But...

Who was me?

For some unidentified reason, a laugh escaped her throat. Her attention landed on her masterpieces again as a string of unexplainable happiness fled from her mouth.

Nobody spoke outside anymore because they tend to listen to the insane girl that lived with them.

They must be thinking I'm mad again, she thought.

Hell they are right! She screamed in her mind.

I AM MAD!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I ran out of inspirations nowadays but for this book, it's got three!
One would be thanks to shibalove. Check out her books and I assure you they are way awesome!
Two, the title is inspired from a character in the Five Nights at Freddy's 2 which is the 'Marionette' or the Puppet.
Three, our main character's personality resembles Sasori of the Red Sand in Naruto and Misaki Mei of Another.
Also, I'd like to thank YOU for reading this new book I made and I hope you'll continue reading it until the end.
Flashbacks in the story are encased inside brackets.
