"Child..."
Darkness seeped through her eyes. Rie recognized she was in a dim-lit room. She was lying on the bed, to her right was a door and opposite to the bed was a dark oaken cabinet.
"Let me out"
Something in the cabinet started to make a banging sound, the locked door shaking like it contained a beast.
"Rie, come over here and let me out"
The ravenette was clutching the ends of the bed sheet, her eyes gazing at the door until she swept her feet to the side of her bed and jumped off.
She made her way towards the cabinet while carving footprints on the dust-coated floor before stopping in front of the cabinet, her hand on the handle.
"That's it"
Rie leaned closer and locked the cabinet. "Sorry about that but I won't comply to your wish"
A hissing sound echoed inside the cabinet as it shook much more violently than before.
She gradually opened her eyes as she felt the elevator slightly shake before halting into a stop.
"Marie-chwan, we're here~" Grellstone Efface chirped, his hands clamped on her shoulders as he gently pushed her out of the elevator.
The sound of her footsteps played over and over again in the dimlit corridor.
She paused before drawing out a scroll. Marie held it before her, an arm spread in front.
She released her thumb's hold on the scroll, letting the parchment unravel as a cloud of smoke enveloped the entire room.
"Hmmm?" Grell stared in awe as he saw what appeared after the smoke cleared out. "Isn't that... Jekyll the Jackal?"
Rie paid no attention to Grell while the puppet Jekyll started to roam the corridor as Rie's personal surveillance camera.
"What are you, blind?" Rie snapped in annoyance and walked towards one of the chairs leaning on the wall before she glanced at the captain. "So... which cell was I supposed to be watching?"
Grell blinked at first before his face split into a horrid smile and pointed the cell.
The girl dragged the chair. While she passed, the prisoners inside their own cells started to back away from the light that exposed them. After all, they couldn't forget the face of the person who brought them to where they were now.
She pushed the chair and placed it in opposite to the assigned place. Rie heaved a sigh and crossed her arms before she sat down.
"They call this place the most secured prison and yet they have to send me here to watch over some puny pira-" Rie opened her eyes and found herself lost in gray eyes. For the first time after they got separate, Grell saw shock painted all over her.
"You're..." Rie and the prisoner spoke in unison before the girl took off and stormed towards the elevator.
"DAMN YOU GRELL! WHAT THE FUC|< ARE YOU PLANNING THIS TIME?!" Rie screamed and grabbed the male's collar.
"I don't know what you're talking about" Grell looked away with a pout on his face.
Rie started shaking him by the scruff of his neck. "You know damn well what I'm talking about"
Grell smirked and looked at her straight in the eye. "Well there won't be the need to talk about it now, is there?"
Rie bit her lip and shook him before saying, "You planned this all along didn't you?"
She landed a punch on his cheek and sent him to the other side of the elevator. Rie panted for air before she turned her heel to retrieve Jekyll.
Rie took her scroll out with a snap of her fingers and set it open. The puppet turned around towards her when she felt sudden pain on the side of her neck.
"G-Grell!" Rie stammered as her vision started to fade in and out before she lost balance. "I freaking swear... I'll cut your head off"
Grell chuckled while spinning the empty injection he used on her. "But I already lost it Marie-chwan"
Rie felt her breathing pace slow down while her eyes trailed towards his cell.
"Oi! What did you just do to her?!" his enraged voice filled the place.
"Hmm?" Grell looked over him before he flashed a sickly sweet smile. "Well Ace-chan, we're going to need her back"
'But..." Rie mused in her fading mind. "I.. I don't want her back..."

Rie gasped to consciousness. Instead of the murky prison, she found herself staring at a blindingly white ceiling. "Where am I?"
"Mariejois"
She glanced to her side and saw Mihawk with his arms crossed while staring at her. It took her a moment to process what happened to her.
Rie's fingers crawled onto the spot where the pain still resided. "There's a spider tattoo over here, isn't there?"
Mihawk nodded in agreement though wasn't quite sure why she would ask such a thing.
"Portgas D. Ace" Rie spoke before she returned her hand to her side and sat up. She locked her eyes with the swordsman's own and added, "What happened to him?"
"They got him out" Mihawk stated.
The weight Rei felt on her was lifted until he eventually added, "They took him to Marine ford to get him executed"
"Fuc|<" Rie cursed in the depths of her mind.
The next thing she saw was Mihawk leaving the room.
"Where are you go-"
But the door already closed before she could finish the question.
"Well if you weren't going to let me out..."
Rie didn't know if the voice came from her mind or from the room but she heard footsteps as well.
The corner of the room that lacked proper lighting had its shadows form into her.
"Someone's bound to do it"
